Why stay here ...

Conveniently located for easy access to the best features of the beautiful Peak District, yet nestled peacefully away in the idyllic valley floor, Buxton Club Campsite is the perfect location for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life whilst having easy access to modern comforts. The small, pretty town of Buxton is within walking distance of the caravan park, home to the historic Pavilion Gardens set within 23 acres of beautifully rich scenery and an abundance of restaurants and shops. There are towns to explore in all directions, including the market towns of Leek & Ashbourne.

At Buxton Club Campsite you will be surrounded by the superb Peak District National Park - with its extensive network of cycle ways, this is the ideal destination for those keen to see the best of England's rolling landscapes, whether by bike or by foot. Hikers can relish in reaching the summit of Grin Hill where they can witness the Solomon’s Temple and spectacular views of Buxton and High Peak. If you fancy a stroll on a rainy day, a full set of splendid stately homes can be found situated near to the caravan site, all rich with local history. You will also have the opportunity to absorb the many local customs that are preserved to this day, such as the folk art of "Well Dressing" - an ancient form of flower arrangement that dates from Pagan times.

A lovely site in a beautiful location

Buxton Club Campsite
We had a lovely warm welcome from the site staff and chose a pitch on the edge of the site. The facilities block has been recently upgraded and is immaculate. We also loved the small 'fairy glen' in the centre of the site! There's plenty of walking through the adjacent country park and also it's an easy walk to Buxton. A lovely site in a beautiful part of the country.

Good stay despite weather

Buxton Club Campsite
Pleasant welcome and very efficient check-in on arrival. Pitch and facilities good. Plenty of choice of pitches. Nice to see wardens turning away early arrivals, some turning up at 11.30 when it clearly states 13.00hrs on website and email prior to arrival. Only negative I have is that the male toilet block closing for cleaning at 10am, female 10.30 and some toilets and showers being closed off during the peak season. Surely closing the showers later in the day when the majority of visitors are off site would be better. Would recommend site and will return in the future.

Frequent Visitor

Buxton Club Campsite
We visit this site frequently as it is only an hour from home and a great base. The facilities are very clean and the site itself is very tidy. The wardens are very helpful and friendly.

What a fantastic site

Buxton Club Campsite
We arrived on site, wardens were the best, walking and cycling from site was great, walked into Buxton got a taxi back you will see why when you walk into Buxton, shop on site very naughty cakes, scones, and lots of other treats. Facilities were clean and tidy recently refurbished underfloor heating for colder times of the year. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short because of family bereavement, the wardens could not have been more helpful and kind. If you want peace and quite and a great site look no further.
