Why stay here ...

A popular caravan site in Warwickshire, The Warwick Racecourse Club Site is set on a grass and tarmac enclosure within the grounds of the racecourse itself and is a mere 15 minute walk from the town centre of Warwick. Conveniently located a mile away from the M40 motorway, the caravan park gives you easy access to a large variety of fun activities, from lovely walks and a 9-hole golf course to a driving range with an area for flying model aircraft and gliders. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal at picturesque Hatton Locks and perhaps stop for refreshments at the Hatton Lock Café.

Adjacent to the Warwick Racecourse Club Site you will find the historic Hill Close Victorian Gardens (admittance charge), which act as a gateway to the town centre. The award-winning Warwick Castle is also within easy reach of the caravan site and is a must-see as it's reputed to be the finest medieval castle in England. Another place in the area that is well worth the visit is pretty Stratford-upon-Avon - here you can walk the superb Heritage Trail, take the fascinating Shakespeare Story Tour Bus and visit the world famous theatre. You might also like to visit Birmingham or Leamington Spa, accessible by train, which offer a great mix of both high street and boutique shops.

Stayed for one night

We arrived at 3pm the lady behind the counter was very rude to me said why weren’t we there earlier and it was the last space as someone had cancelled? We had booked so what was the problem then she complained we had a trailer? We have a motorhome so we park that where the caravan would go then park the trailer where the car should go she said we supposed to add this to our booking???? We have never had to do this before??? There nowhere to add it and why would we have to ?? I said if you want us to go we will then her husband took over and was very nice. This was the only site where the door was removed from the cubicle where you can wash and signs saying we cannot clean our teeth due to bodily fluids?? The site was great be the Lady Warden seemed to be paranoid.

Fantastic Place. Exceptional Customer Service

After reading some of the more negative feedback on here I felt very compelled to leave some feedback myself. This site is one of the best all round sites I have had the pleasure to go to. I am on my 5th visit now to the site. I have stayed on all the different types of pitch and I have never found fault. People must know that putting pegs into concrete is never going to be easy. Anyway, at the centre of it all is the wardens, they are just fantastic. They have treated me like family, they have taken the time to speak to me and get my feedback and they can never do enough for me. I have witnessed them on site daily working hard during this pandemic to make people feel safe and sound while maintaining very very high standards of customer service. Thank you, wardens, for making my time in Warwick the best it can be Would I come here again?? Already booked for the next few weeks

What a brilliant site

Having read many negative reviews about this site and the wardens, we'd like to put our point of view. The site itself is excellent, with both grass and hard standing pitches. The pitches are a good size, with a mix of sunny (when it shines), and shaded locations. The facilities are certainly in need of updating, but are clean and perfectly adequate. Any Covid related restrictions that are in place are completely understandable given the on-going situation with Coronavirus. The location is excellent, a short walk into Warwick, where there is plenty to see and do. There is a bus station at the top of the road, and some good cycling/walking routes close to the site along the canal and river. The wardens on the site were very good, welcoming us to Warwick, and explaining the site rules clearly. Throughout our stay the wardens were busy cleaning the facilities and keeping the site in good order

Great site and location

After reading some previous review i was unsure what to expect but there was no need to worry. We found the wardens pleasant and helpful.Even though the track around the pitches and entrance had some potholes they wasnt deep enough to cause damage unless you was traveling at some speed. The elastic band system worked well as in all the other sites we have visited since lockdown has been lifted.Very central location to the town centre only 10 minutes walk. For craft beer lovers the oldpostoffice is a must. you can walk for miles along the river with your dogs as we did

Great location

Great Location. Staff looking after site did not appear to be very happy happy. The lady was a bit obsessed with the COVID situation. The facilities were ok but there was no spare toilet for use when facilities they were being cleaned and the band use meant that if you wanted to use the loo when two people were having a shower you had to wait until they were finished showering, which was a very long wait.
