Why stay here ...

A popular caravan site in Warwickshire, The Warwick Racecourse Club Site is set on a grass and tarmac enclosure within the grounds of the racecourse itself and is a mere 15 minute walk from the town centre of Warwick. Conveniently located a mile away from the M40 motorway, the caravan park gives you easy access to a large variety of fun activities, from lovely walks and a 9-hole golf course to a driving range with an area for flying model aircraft and gliders. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal at picturesque Hatton Locks and perhaps stop for refreshments at the Hatton Lock Café.

Adjacent to the Warwick Racecourse Club Site you will find the historic Hill Close Victorian Gardens (admittance charge), which act as a gateway to the town centre. The award-winning Warwick Castle is also within easy reach of the caravan site and is a must-see as it's reputed to be the finest medieval castle in England. Another place in the area that is well worth the visit is pretty Stratford-upon-Avon - here you can walk the superb Heritage Trail, take the fascinating Shakespeare Story Tour Bus and visit the world famous theatre. You might also like to visit Birmingham or Leamington Spa, accessible by train, which offer a great mix of both high street and boutique shops.

Stopover or longer? Both

Warwick Racecourse Caravan Club Site
We have used this site several times as a stopover. We decided a longer was warranted & this time we stayed for 5 days. Roy & Cath, the wardens go the extra mile. Always friendly, helpful & efficient. Ideal for walking. Warwick, places to eat & Sainsbury’s all a short walk. Facilities small but always clean. We’ll be back.

A great site for visiting Warwick and area.

Warwick Racecourse Caravan Club Site
A super little site! Our two dogs loved the running and fun on their doorstep. The proximity to Warwick is great but the site is secluded and peaceful. The wardens, Cath and Roy, are friendly and hard-working and were most caring and helpful after I descended from our motorhome into a heap on arrival (so embarrassing!). We shall definitely return.

Lovely 2 night stay

Warwick Racecourse Caravan Club Site
We stayed here for 2 nights on our way home from south. Would definitely stay here again for longer next time. Close to town and castle all within walking distance. Lovely walk around the race course with the dogs.

The place to stay in Warwick

Warwick Racecourse Caravan Club Site
Lovely situated campsite in the middle of Warwick racecourse. We chose a non awning pitch against the rails of the racecourse itself ( well across a very narrow path). Peaceful. Small site only 57 pitches and very popular. Facilities a little dated but spotlessly clean. I can imagine it is a wonderful place to be during a race meeting. All the sites and facilites of Warwick only a short uphill walk away. A Sainsburys is at a walkable distance through 2 carparks avoiding all roads. Excellent dog walking on the adjacent open parkland. We will be back on a race day hopefully. On site wardens ( only 2) very helpful and cheerful and always busy.

No racing today

Warwick Racecourse Caravan Club Site
Great site within the town limits. Only thing to check is if there are race days. On race days you can't enter or leave, unless on foot when a race is not in progress ! Toilet and shower block clean and the "covid band system" in use when we visited - but just like many other sites, the system breaks down because people either don't use it or don't take the band off the hook when they have finished using the facilities. Hopefully having to stand outside with crossed legs due to the pegs all filled up with bands will be a thing of the passed in 2022 - although the absent minded will have some other system to mess up. Historic town and castle within staggering distance = read - plenty of pubs, bars and restaurants. There are pitches right up against the track rails but these are not available on race days. These pitches just about manage to pick up wifi from the jockey club. Despite location so close to town and within residential limits, it's quiet apart from the occasional emergency services sirens. Filled up with water and forgot my tap adapter again !!! I'm starting to add £3 to every stop to pay for my own stupidity of leaving the Hozelock tap adapter on the tap....... I've never been in the luxurious position of finding someone has left theirs for me LOL.
