Why stay here ...

The Warwick Racecourse Club Site is set on a grass and tarmac enclosure within the grounds of the racecourse itself and is a mere 15 minute walk from the town centre of Warwick. Conveniently located a mile away from the M40 motorway, the caravan park gives you easy access to a large variety of fun activities, from lovely walks and a 9-hole golf course to a driving range with an area for flying model aircraft and gliders. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal at picturesque Hatton Locks and perhaps stop for refreshments at the Hatton Lock Café.

Adjacent to the Warwick Racecourse Club Site you will find the historic Hill Close Victorian Gardens (admittance charge), which act as a gateway to the town centre. The award-winning Warwick Castle is also within easy reach of the caravan site and is a must-see as it's reputed to be the finest medieval castle in England. Another place in the area that is well worth the visit is pretty Stratford-upon-Avon - here you can walk the superb Heritage Trail, take the fascinating Shakespeare Story Tour Bus and visit the world famous theatre. You might also like to visit Birmingham or Leamington Spa, accessible by train, which offer a great mix of both high street and boutique shops.

Good site for walks and city visit

Stayed for five nights in caravan. We were located in the copse in the middle of the site - excellent - clean - plenty of grass - quiet. Wardens very helpful and the facilites were A1. I am not so sure that I would want to stay alongside the periphery of the racetrack. This would be on hardstanding - gave me the impression of being in a parking lot with a line up of motorhomes along the periphery of the race course. The site is centrally located in the middle of the racecourse and surrounded by it. The racecourse is on the periphery of Warwick. It has a lot of open accessible land in the centre of the course. The city is reachable easily by walking and the Castle, River, Town, Large Park and Grand Union Canal are all within walkable distance. Bus station close by with services to most of the surrounding region. A very nice location and dog owners have plently of space in which to walk their dogs. I would definately recomend the site for a visit to the area - easy access to Warwick and surrounding areas. Plenty to see and do.

The staff are BRILLIANT!!

Well all I can say is that although I barely used the physical facilities except for water and EHU my experience with the staff was absolutely brilliant! Had a bit of a major crisis when staying there.. I lost the keys to my MH! Well I was in a bit of a panic and approached the staff for assistance... (im ashamed to say that I never noted down their names! Sorry!)well they pretty much took over, calming me right down and then methodically ringng first Sainsbury's, and went down there to fetch some keys which turned out not to be mine, before contacting the police.... I meanwhile being the pessimist (compared to their optimism) started trying to organise with a courier to send my spare et down from home c/o a neighbour. Was just about to finalise this when the lady came across and said that her partner was already on his way to Leamington Spa police station where they thought they had my keys.. postponed organisation of courier and tried to chill and wait... within 20 minutes the gentleman was back... clutching my keys! Never been so relieved in my life! They were an extremely nice couple who went out of their way in my crisis and I will always be very grateful for that. Additionally the site was perfect for walking my dog alongside my mobility scooter (very few places where you can accommodate both but Warwick hit the nail on the head) I just wanted to stay longer and will definitely be back , maybe for the races? You would get a brilliant view of the action from inside your MH if parked on one of the course frontage plots! Thank you SO much to the staff at Warwick!

First ever trip in touring caravan

This was our very first trip in our new touring caravan so we were a little bit stressed after 180 miles on the motorways. We were immediately made welcome by the very friendly wardens Barbara and Jim, everything was explained clearly regarding how to pitch up etc. This was much appreciated. Although the weather was terrible we booked an extra night as we were enjoying the experience. The site is in the heart of the town so everywhere was walking distance including a good Wetherspoons pub! Nice clean and warm showers and toilets. Well kept site . Will definitely return, thank you very much for your help and hospitality. Graham and Aileen Durk Mumbles, near Swansea.

Expensive car park

very disappointed with this site. The only pitches on this site that are halfway decent are the awning pitches. Three nights on a car park for £84 is, in my opinion out of order. Compared to other sites in the club, its run down & badly in need of a revamp.

Bac Again

Love this site, so convenient for us from the south to the north. Friendly Wardens. Bit of an outdated toilet block but this is a Racecourse so I'm not sure if C&MC are allowed to update it. Good to see a new hand dryer in the ladies, although I did find if it gets too hot (too many of us using it one after the other) it stops working!!! Lots to see and do in the area and Coventry just down the road too. Don't want to advertise it too much as we love it here and need to get booked in usually twice a year!
