Why stay here ...

The Warwick Racecourse Club Site is set on a grass and tarmac enclosure within the grounds of the racecourse itself and is a mere 15 minute walk from the town centre of Warwick. Conveniently located a mile away from the M40 motorway, the caravan park gives you easy access to a large variety of fun activities, from lovely walks and a 9-hole golf course to a driving range with an area for flying model aircraft and gliders. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal at picturesque Hatton Locks and perhaps stop for refreshments at the Hatton Lock Café.

Adjacent to the Warwick Racecourse Club Site you will find the historic Hill Close Victorian Gardens (admittance charge), which act as a gateway to the town centre. The award-winning Warwick Castle is also within easy reach of the caravan site and is a must-see as it's reputed to be the finest medieval castle in England. Another place in the area that is well worth the visit is pretty Stratford-upon-Avon - here you can walk the superb Heritage Trail, take the fascinating Shakespeare Story Tour Bus and visit the world famous theatre. You might also like to visit Birmingham or Leamington Spa, accessible by train, which offer a great mix of both high street and boutique shops.

Great for visiting Warwick

This a lovely compact site, set right beside the race course. On arrival the relief wardens were very welcoming and more than helpful. The toilet block is in need of updating, but the showers are fine. TV reception is definitely hit and miss, depending on which part of the site you are on . It's a short walk into Warwick, and you can walk or cycle along the Grand Union canal to Leamington Spa,or in the opposite direction the flight of locks at Hatton is well worth a visit. This is a site we would return to again.Even though there's no internet.

Warwick Racecourse

Third visit this year and once again everything was 1st class. The wardens are the best we have met on all the sites we have stayed at, they are always happy and smiling, glad to help you and very hard working. The facilities although dated are always very clean. Only problem is the hand driers in the toilets are very poor. An excellent site for walking into town which is very friendly with lovely shops, cafes and pubs, lots dog friendly. Just a shame some people don't consider others when on site, walking behind motorhomes and caravans to get to the water tap is just rude.

Usual high standard for the club, apart from their being no internet, which in this age is a pity.

Small and almost perfectly formed

A small site, very convenient for walking into the town centre. We stayed over the Easter weekend which meant it was full, but it never felt busy. We will definitely return. Plenty of hot water and good powerful showers. My only gripe is that there was just the one sink for washing up.
