Covid 19 and membership

As all sites and CC approved sites have been suspended for 3 months (30th June) are we to expect the CMHC to suspend all memberships for 3 months.? My membership is due in July so I'm a bit loathed to not be able to use it and go anywhere only to be hit with a renewal as the suspension is lifted.

Personally, I shall be quite happy if I survive the 3 months and the club is welcome to use that proportion of my membership fee to help maintain sites. Somebody has to pay the overheads and takings will be way down this year. I'm really not bothered about £13.50 in the current circumstances - it's the least of my concerns.

In respect of a membership refund, I really couldn't care less. The club, just like any other organisation, may or may not even survive this current crisis or how long it will continue.... no-one really knows at the moment.

I'm also about to pay £265 vehicle excise duty for our van which is unlikely to move before July at the very earliest... I'm not expecting a refund for that either.

What I am worried about, is who will and will not survive this.

I’m very happy to pay my membership for the next months. I look forward to seeing advice from the CX on how we as members should behave euring this global crises. I know that we are not the most popular users of the road and we should avoid creating further tensions between ourselves and other members of the community. We are fortunate to have out camervans and caravans and we should play our part as decent citizens during this crisis. I hope that all Staff will be looked after by the club. Lets spend the next few months planning our next holidays, but at the same time we can do some good and look out for each other.

As all three above. When this is all over and we are all still here I want the club to be there so that I can use it, and I will use it having a new sense of appreciation and how lucky we will be.

I would like to see the Club advising it’s members to stay home and not just by email, a press release would also be welcome!

My membership is due for renewal in July, I am more than happy to renew, it is now our turn to support the club like the club has supported us in the past.

I am like the majority of us are going to follow the guideline and hope we can all pull through.

The Club will have quite substantial Fixed Costs to meet, and whilst the Government Financial Stimulus Package may contribute towards salary payments, everything else will need to be paid for from the Club's resources.

Others have commented upon the '£32 million in the Bank' in other threads, and replies have drawn attention to how quickly that will diminish if the Club has to buy a couple of campsites whilst maintaining/improving existing stock.

If we want the Club to be there for when we emerge from the health crisis, we need to accept the 'loss/waste' of this year's membership fee. As a new member, having spent 2 nights on Club sites last month on the way back from Spain, it has added £27 per night to the cost of our stays. Neither I nor the Club could have forecast that this would be the outcome, but, 'c'est la vie'.

I'm just grateful to wake up each morning without a fever ...

Steve
