Another CL Booking Bug.

Searching for a Cl near Tywyn Wales, I came across a site called The Meadows.

On the CC site page it states Overall site rating 5 ticks, based on 21 reviews.

I clicked on “read more reviews” and the first five were very good but when I click again on “read more reviews” I eventually realized that the next 8 reviews are for an altogether different site located in Devon!!

One of these 8 reviews was very scathing and only gave 1 tick. It would be easy for someone to think it was aimed at the site in Wales due to the CC website glitch.

How many more faults and bugs are in the system and what damage is being done to the CLs?

I am going to inform the CL owner in case they lose bookings as a result.

The way this organisation has been run over the last 12 months is pretty poor to say the least.

That's putting it mildly in my opinion. When one looks at a CL's review now one cannot be certain that it is referring to that actual CL. It would be a good idea for the reviewers to put the name of the CL in their intro.

The way that the reviews are all out of sequence is also very misleading. One should not have to sort through all that's been made to fine the most recent.

I think putting the CL name and place in the title would be a great idea. At least until the material is sorted. This evening 😉I believe another thread said. Keep your eyes open for flying bacon 😂

Well, I have just looked into this thread, and cannot believe how badly the new website is still letting down CL owners. The kind of words I want to utter would have my post removed, so I will merely restrain myself and just thank CL owners for hanging in there and keeping going. I sincerely hope that these major issues are resolved for you, and can only say that as another who remains a member almost solely for access to the CL network, then I feel utterly cheated, frustrated and rather angry.

As someone who spent a working lifetime in the leisure industry, the lack of acknowledgement over the total shambles that is currently the CL section is not professional and the Club should be issuing a public and heartfelt apology for the current mess they have created for both CL owners, and CL users.frown

Can't see that any of the problems have been corrected so looks like another promised update has failed to materialise. Continuing from TDA's comment regarding experience in the leisure sector, I worked in the IT industry for over 30 years delivering online services to the financial sector and I've never seen such a fiasco with an IT development as this one. The lack of communication and failure to deliver any fixes in the 6 weeks since launch is unbelievable. Their processes (and personnel?) need a complete overhaul.

I can understand why cl owners are very frustrated with all the problems with searches etc on the new website. The CC have not corrected the problems quickly enough and they should be ashamed!

Luckily it has not put us off and I have already booked a couple of "new to us" CL'S for this year.☺

Sincerely hope all this gets fixed soon, really sorry it's gone on this long. The CC is a leisure and service industry which should be more open with it's clients and customers.

We are the Meadows Touring Park, we have to voice our serious concerns regarding the new cc website.  No one at HQ seems to be listening.  We have two other cl's numerous reviews on OUR site.  One of those reviews is not good at all.  This is how it has been for the past month, so just when folks are about to search and book their holiday................ the rest is history.  What can we do, change our site name to some obscure name and start over? Write off the last 4 years 5* reviews grrrr!

You have the support of many on here. Keep the pressure going until this is resolved. It's just not acceptable and the CC must respond.

In relation to Gail01's post can I just ask the Caravan Club IT dept why it is ignoring removing the incorrect reviews on her CL page?

If TripAdviser (other review sites are available) had left incorrect reviews relating to a similarly named establishment on the wrong place and had known about the problem for at least 17 days then they would expect to be sued. The fact that they have not removed these erroneous reviews is disgraceful. No excuses CC - GET IT SORTED URGENTLY.

Threaten them with legal action for defamation. That should focus the mind.

We are great CL users and although the Forum problems are something I can live with and not worth moaning about, the correct operation of the Website business is.

Very sad that CL owners are badly affected and you have my wholehearted support, it may help to know that we who use CL's regularly will generally work around these search and visual problems and not give up because of the difficulties. The Caravan Club search is not the 'be all and end all' tool used by me in reviewing/searching out your CL sites.

I do hope it's prioritised in your favour.
