The Club have released more details of the new Booking System here

There are still finer details still to be arrived but the link (thanks Harry) sets out how the new system will work.

I have closed the previous thread on when we will get details of the new booking system and opened this one to allow comments specifically on the new system rather than discussing what they might be.

It is hoped i think from the second quarter of 2022 (April?)

which means if that is the date the " in tandem" system may well run into end of March 2023surprised

Yes indeed, so the effects of this regarding reducing speculative booking won't be felt for quite some time?

I think off peak is when mid week discount is also normally available for all

Posted on 25/11/2021 19:02

But majority of younger folk will be working mid week so very few can take advantage of it?

One would hope we will now find a warden at the entrance, especially on bigger sites, fast tracking in members that have paid in advance with the advice to return to the office to give their pitch number and pick up the blipper for the barrier and toilet key if used? I just hope the saved time is not used to spend more time telling us how to pitch to the pegwink

From memory Chatsworth you have to go through the courtyard so not sure that will work, many other places have tight entrances and once outfits start queueing as you know being British we join the line...

That’s why there is a MWD because sites are quiet due to folk being at work so the club tries to entice others to fill the pitches.

That system you evisage could be "interesting?"on one couple and even two couple sites ,as those will only be one couple for several dayssurprised

It the winter months even multi staffed sites could be down to one coupleundecided

so the busy w/ends Friday would still have queuesfrown

Once the new system starts, any booking after that date, be it in 2022, or 2023, will be subject to the new system. So, to avoid deposits, but not be able to choose your pitch type, you can book now, right up to December 2022.  If you alter a booking after April 2022, it will be under new system. So, to guarantee a holiday, book ASAP. To guarantee a pitch type, wait until April 2022, in the hope that there will actually be any pitches left!

I think that’s how it works🤔

Chatsworth is out though. Every single weekend, every type of pitch, is now booked.

That is how i see it ,, If after April 2022 you need to alter any of your bookings? will it involve the new system? or will it be under the present systemsurprised

So much it seems "Tweeking" still to be donecool

The only way it will be possible to end the queuing at the gates, is to allow booking of a specific pitch. That way, there is no need for the cavalry charge to get to a certain pitch on site, outfits can trickle in as they want, post noon/1pm, without a poor member of staff stuck out in all weathers dealing with queue.

I looked at the proposed new plans for Lady Margaret Park the other day, sure it had two lanes going in, but not certain🤔

There are two lanes at Seacroft but only one set of in barriers, this time of year it is only a "one couple site" which also would be a problem as it needs as on many sites an entry card to open the barrier

A couple is two people. One in the office, and at peak arrival time the other one outside waving the pre paid visitors in.
