I know a few members are like us and mix in a few none Club Sites into a tour. Thought I would open up a thread for folks to post website links to any nice sites they come across, that might interest others.

This one to start with http://www.thamesheadinn.co.uk/camping-caravan-sites-cirencester-glos.html

Just off A433 few miles from Cirencester, so ideal for Cotswolds area. Plenty to see and do in area, Pub is nice for food.

Moderator Edit:

This thread is for posting links and/or reviews.  Please don't use it to discuss the merits, or otherwise, of other people's choices.

Thank You.

The Thames head site looks nice. However, although I don't think it would bother us, it is close to a busy road and adjacent a train line. Although that isn't exactly busy.

One thing that seems to come out as a negative in the reviews, is the fact there is only one combined toilet / shower. Not much of a problem in a fully equipped van but not so good for anyone in a small camper, or using the two tent pitches.

TTDA started  an interesting thread asking for site suggestions - but it quickly descended into bickering about prices. Oh dear.

Nobody is bickering - or not prior to your post that is!

Mentioned it before but;

Rosedale caravan park, Penley, Near Wrexham. Open all year.

Much better than the club site at Chirk, in my opinion. Adults only.
