It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

I heard one report from a South African doctor who said the infection from Omircon is not so serious and can be treated with anti viral drugs??????

Lets hope he/she is correct.

When you see the antics of the two who left quarantine to board a plane to Spain whilst positive, there is no way the variant will not spread.

There must be a rush for boosters, I checked for our daughter, the on line queue to book was over 1000 and the nearest venues were 30-50 miles away. Local places didn't have boosters available.

I see the boss of Moderna has cast doubt on the efficacy of vaccines on the Omicron variant. He should know or at least know someone who does.Let's hope that the range of vaccines still provide an effective barrier to serious illness et.

Only X millions to do before the end of January.  Just been offered shifts starting in a couple of weeks. 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off, 12 hrs on, X hrs off, 6 hrs on, and repeat.  What fun smile.

Isn't it strange the high number of under 40's (approximately) that are apparently exempt from wearing face masks in shopping centres as seen yesterday. I would have expected it to be some of the older generation who may be exempt.undecided

Indeed. The 'best' was seeing a bloke with his yellow sunflower lanyard round his neck and fag in hand .... 🀐 But most of the masks I saw yesterday were worn around chins or just over the mouth .... as much as I'd prefer not to wear a mask, I do try to play by the rules for the hour it takes to go round the supermarket.
