It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

Isn't it strange the high number of under 40's (approximately) that are apparently exempt from wearing face masks in shopping centres as seen yesterday. I would have expected it to be some of the older generation who may be exempt.undecided

Our grand daughter when not at Uni works in our local Tesco supermarket

She said there were quite a few "younger?" shoppers  that were exempt from mask wearing,  when the boss of Tesco beefed up the security staff ,,very many of those who said they were exempt  starting wearing face coverings

The staff at our local coop store ,were reticent to ask shoppers to wear face coverings as they were already at times having problems with shoppers

If the store owners/managers are willing to put money before their customers well-being there isn’t much can be done other than boycott the storešŸ‘šŸ». I do my thing & let others do theirs, I’m don’t see myself as a ‘mask enforcer’ I’ve seen the nastiness of masks vs freedom in the USA & it’s not good, I’d hate that to happen herešŸ¤·šŸ»‍ā™‚ļø

Did not quite stack up that way thankfully, but good to see the right hand still does not know what the left is doing still, long may it continue laughing

I think it is a case of what abuse staff already get from some members of Joe publlc without the added stress of getting face coverings usedundecided

Our granddaughter, through no fault of her own, had to cancel her booster jab. She is disabled, we were away and she couldn’t get to her appointment that day. Yesterday, and now that we are available to take her, she tried to rebook, 4,200 in the internet queue. She did eventually get through to the booking system but no available appointments.

A few weeks ago we went shopping with her sister 16, at the door of the supermarket I asked where her mask was, ‘I don’t have to wear one Nan, and they are so uncomfortable’. It’s a few years since I have given her a telling off or a lecture but by golly she got one that day. Yes a little uncomfortable but if it saves just one life or serious illness. When we think of the hardships our parents/grandparents went through, wearing a mask now and again, not too much to expect. Should have always been mandatory as in other parts of Britain.

Only X millions to do before the end of January.  Just been offered shifts starting in a couple of weeks. 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off, 12 hrs on, X hrs off, 6 hrs on, and repeat.  What fun smile.

We have shopped throughout the pandemic and always worn masks indoors.  We began shopping quite early in the morning I.e 7 or 8 am when this was a designated pensioners hour and have continued. We have already been and done our weekly shop this morning and as usual the supermarket was almost empty apart from order pickers. Anyone worrying about non mask wearers should get up and go early like us and you wont see many.

Several folks have reported that supermarket delivery slots are becoming scarce again? We used them last lockdown as we were also shopping for a couple of neighbours, but then reverted to ‘click & collect’ which works so well we’ve stuck with for the most part. I hate shopping at the best of times and just turning up while somebody stuffs it all in the boot is great.

Up until recent times I’ve known relatively few people with Covid, but all of sudden there seems to be loads, young & old including a death.  Most have had at least 2 jabs which is worrying. It’s certainly focussed my mind on avoidance strategies again.
