Just had a bit of disturbing news. Our next door neighbour, who is a community nurse - and had her jab a month ago - has come down with Covid. Just serves to reinforce the point that the jab isn’t 100% effective and we still have to be careful - jab or not.

It needs reinforcing, RandR, that the vaccine doesn't stop someone from catching the dratted thing but helps a lot of people from needing to be hospitalised and cuts down on death rates.

Quite a few of our villagers are under the impression that it's a magic bullet and that they are safe now. A lot were sceptical when I mentioned that you are still susceptible to catching Covid and frankly a couple told me I was talking tosh.

Hope she hasn't passed it on to any of her charges.

Well, I'm in a right old mood.

Just spent the last 1 hour of my life getting all of my ducks in a row, so to speak, and replied to Scottish Power. yellyell That's an hour I'll never get back.

(Feeling a bit better as Mrs WN just delivered a coffee and a Brandy Cherry Chocolate to go with it. She know me so well).

Spent pretty much all day gardening. Pruned the clematis that needed doing plus pruned all my roses. Gave the grass a very light 'top-off' and prepared an area ready for a wild flower seed mix in a couple of weeks or so. Dry all day and just over 12º. Spring is certainly on its way.

Bakers2 mentioned places to visit, we're lucky as we have NT Montacute but most other places are closed. We're not far from Forde Abbey which has lovely all year round gardens but they decided to shut as most would have to travel there and non locals would probably appear. I'm so looking forward to a few more places opening up. Hope we don't miss all the spring flowers, we've found things generally well organised and as safe as possible for visitors.

Have you tried hitting the reply button, I would have thought that show up where it is from. It might depend what email client you use as some give more information that others.
