A Beautiful Site - one of the best we have stayed at

We stayed here in mid-August 2019 and was treated to 9 nights of pure tranquility in beautiful surroundings with lovely views of the Welsh Mountains and countryside. The large grass areas in front of and also separating the generously large pitches were mowed regularly and the flower beds were kept very tidy. An added bonus was the shower and toilet facilities which were kept immaculately clean. While there, we had a problem with our awning and we went to Paul for advice. He readily came to look at it and without further ado fixed it for us (Thank you Paul) We enjoyed our stay so much that we intend to stay again later on in the year. Full marks to Brunette Cottage. One to go back to

Stayed here for 3 nights with our dog. Friendly welcome from Paul to a lovely site with immaculately clean toilet and shower, which mirror the rest of the site. Really quiet and relaxing with a small dog walking area to one side. Quiet lanes with a good 2 mile circuit which we walked our dog twice daily. A real gem of a site, we'll definitely be going back.

Beautiful site

Stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend and stayed on pitch named owl, have to say received a warm welcome and had a tour of the site, lovely large pitch with water and hard standing. The grounds were immaculate and they also had a small dog walk, shower room and toilet were spotless and their was also a small tourist information with jam and cakes for sale, will definitely return in the near future, the only thing I can add for anyone who decides to visit its cash or cheque for payment but there is a cash point at the garage which is fairly close. Again a credit to Paul and Helen for making our stay so enjoyable.

A GEM OF A SITE

We stayed here at the end of July and have to say it is certainly a lovely site deserving of all the accolades given in the past. Very helpful owner.. well spaced pitches.. lovely sunsets across the fields and great facilities. We were blessed with very hot weather for most of our stay and had a lovely time. We had some lovely walks along the canal from Whitchurch, some lovely fish & chips in Malpas and visited NT properties in the area. Very small dog walk on site which was great for early morning and last thing at night but no paths nearby for longer walks.. still that would not deter us for visiting again... assuming we can get on to this very popular site.

Beautiful Site

Stayed for 9 nights so we could visit our grandchildren. Beautiful site. Very neat with lovely little touches such as the bird feeders. Very helpful and friendly owners. While we were there a caravan arrived on a low loader owing to a wheel detaching en route. Mr Clarke couldn't have been more helpful to the unfortunate couple. Would highly recommend this site for peace and quiet. Had a couple of lovely meals at the Hanmer Arms. Near to Malpas, a lovely little town, Ellesmere and Whitchurch. The only fault I can think of is the access road which is narrow and not as smooth as it could be, but take it slowly in case of on coming traffic (there are plenty of passing places) and you will be fine.

Loved this site!

We stayed here for a couple of nights in early July on our way to Anglesey and were very impressed. Beautifully kept and the facilities were immaculate. We will definitely go back for a longer stay in the not too distant future as we didn’t have much opportunity to explore the area, other than a day in Llangollen which as lovely. The owners deserve huge thanks for all their hard work!

Beginning July 2019 lovely visit

Stayed for 2 nights 1& 2 July 2019 Owners were not around to greet us when we arrived, but after a ‘hive’ chat at the door we were given the access code to the site and our pitch had been pre allocated to us. This is a lovely laid out, peaceful site. There is a beautiful bathroom and loo for those needing facilities ( we didnt) and there is also an information office in a summer house.. we found the dvd selection very useful as our tv couldn't pick up a signal from our pitch. Not a lot to do in walking distance so perhaps better suited to a caravan rather than moho but we still set off and Ellesmere is only a short drive £2:30 to park up our 8m moho for the day .....and Ellesmere is really lovely. Back on site, our pooch really enjoyed the special doggie walk .. and good to have a poo bin in the middle 😆 The owners are very nice and they couldnt be more apologetic for not bring around when we arrived. Can recommend this site especially to Caravaners.

Peace and tranqility

Wow, what a lovely CL. Great welcome from Paul who showed us round. Fresh eggs and locally baked cakes and jam available to buy from the ‘hut’ which also contained leaflets and the best box of get out of jail free bits and pieces to help those that have forgotten something. Immaculate grass, superb toilet and shower. Nice touch was the welcome board showing you your pitch name, we stayed on Woopecker and there were bird feeders if we wanted to tempt them in. As I’m a lover of all things different, I really liked the unusual cover for the CDP - you’ll have to go stay to see what I mean. Only regret was not seeing the evening fox visitor. Would thoroughly recommend this site.
