5 Star site

Just spent three relaxing weeks at this site. Well away from everything, no road noise, just peace and quiet. If, once you are on site, you can, thanks to extra cables provided, find your own spot. Bird feeders are available, fill them up and watch them flock to feed, and the squirrels as well. Walk round the mown paths around the fields and you could also spot deer. Nice little information cabin on site. All facilities are neat and tidy. Forest of Dean as well as the Cotswolds within easy reach. All in all a really GOOD site

Blissful rest

Our only hassle was the A40 south being closed between the A417 and A38, but obviously this is not the fault of the CL owner. This section of road will probably be closed for a few more months however once we arrived at the site thsi was forgotten about. We had to stay on this CL for a week as my vehicle was in for repair. We could not have chosen a better spot for peace and tranquilty. For the first 2 nights there were two other units and for the rest of the time we were on our own. The site has everything you need close by. We will be returning again.

Peace & Quiet!

This is truly an amazing site. Jeremy and his family have taken pride in the running of this CL.  Once you have met Jeremy you are left to your own devices. There are extra electric cables for your use to be able to pitch away from anyone if you so wish, a very thoughtful touch.  The walks are in abundance around his fields with beautiful views.  If you are looking for peace and tranquility this is definitely the site for you.

Great site

This is a lovely site which now has electric points. The owner very friendly and helpful, even has some spare cables for use so you can make use of more of the site. The bus to Gloucester is only three quarters of a mile down the quiet lane , also to Ross on Wye the other direction. Good walks from the site (maps provided). He is hoping to put toilet and shower in but hope he doesn't as it is perfect as it is!!

A hidden gem!

If you are looking for peace and tranquility with access to the history of the area then this is probably the site for you.  Nestled in the grounds of a mature orchard just 5 miles from Gloucester this site for us had it all.  Newly installed electric hookups, easy reach standpipes & chemical disposal. A new site hut with leaflets on local attractions, descriptions and maps of local walks.  Tastefully installed picnic tables and benches overlooking the views. New hard standing.  The ground is mostly level and is suitable for motorhomes.  There are plans to extend the electric hook up so you can get further into the orchard (if you can't manage without mains!).  Very friendly owner who takes pride in his site. Price has gone up to £10 which we thought was very reasonable.  TV reception is ok.  Vodafone 2 bars GPRS only.  So just phone & text. Really quiet.  Just bird song although we did hear an aircraft on its way to Gloucester!  Ok we loved it and will certainly go back again.

Great little gem of a site

Arriving at the site we were welcomed by Mr Wheeler who explained to us the site was just a short drive down the lane. On entering the site we were greeted with a large area of what I assume was an old orchard and we made camp. Water was available on the entry to the site and a new chemi emptying point was under construction which will be available shortly. The only current criticism would be the distance to the current chemi point, BUT I MUST STRESS THIS IS ONLY TEMPORARY. Would we go again the answer would be a big YES !!!
