Booked this site purely on it's location, we were a bit dubious to begin with as this was our first attempt at a CL with no toilet facilities. It turned out to be one of the best CL's we have ever stayed at. Andy, the owner is a truly lovely man, very friendly and informative.. phoned before hand as he was unable to meet us on arrival, but gave us invaluable instructions.
The wildlife on the site was great, red kites nesting over head was a real treat!
The site is central to many local places of interest, as we were only there for two nights we decided to visit Oxford, the local P&R was only a short distance away and really convenient. We will definitely be using this site again.. can't wait to go back!
Bank Holiday Stay
A delightful site, level with grass pitches and electric hook up (which I understand was recently installed - which was a nice bonus). Peaceful and with some lovely walks into Dorchester and surrounding countryside. Convenient for Oxford (bus service a short walk away if needed),or about 15 minutes by car. Abingdon is also nearby (again bus service available nearby if needed) and other local towns and villages. There is a cafe nearby and pub within easy walking distance which serves meals if desired. Local mini supermarket in Dorchester along with a lovely Abbey which is definitely worth visiting.
There is also a Watersports club nearby (Oxford wet and wild) and also a sailing club almost opposite which can provide entertainment watching the sailing on a Sunday morning.
Andy (the owner) was extremely welcoming and helpful on our arrival and as well as sharing information about what was available locally outlined the wildlife that we might see while we were staying there. Quiet and peaceful, with little traffic noise during our stay, this is going to become our favourite CL location and one that we will be returning to again soon.
Highly recommended.

Overnight stay
We arrived at the sight after some misdirection from our sat nav - care use the directions as posted on web site. Andy was unable to meet us but spoke to us on the phone and provided help re set up and where to stay. The site if very quiet with just electrical hook ups and service points - all we needed. Andy was outstanding in his welcome and when hearing that we were going to a nearby town for a wedding the following day offered and take us in his car - saving us time and worry re the taxis finding the site. The following day Andy met us to ensure that we were ok - what a great service. We will be returning - at a future date.
A perfect CL
Stayed here at the end of March whilst visiting family nearby.
Andy is very welcoming and the site is extremely well kept. 16amp hook up a real bonus. In the middle of farms with cattle and the birdlife is abundant with geese, kestrels and red kites. To be woken in the morning by woodpeckers tapping on the tree behind is delightful.
Not sure that the postcode on this site is accurate. Andy has promised to put GPS co-ordinates on his site entry to guide in new visitors.
Will definitely return very soon.
Great experience
Just a one night stay but left with a very good impression of the site and the surrounding area. Andy met us at the gate, gave us a friendly welcome and some helpful information. We were the only van parked up in an enormous field - flat and well maintained. The website had stated no hook ups but we were delighted to find that the electricity had been installed just the day before which was a nice bonus (a cable was kindly lent to us as I hadn't bothered bringing mine). Although just off the Abingdon Road, we weren't aware of any traffic noise, though the Red Kites made themselves heard. The local gastro pub in Burcot serves very good food and Dorchester is an easy 20 minute walk and well worth a visit, especially the Abbey. Recommended.
One night stay
My wife and I stayed here for one night to break up a longish journey. The owner met us at the gate to welcome us and gave us all the relevant information about the CL and the local area. The CL was as described in a very nice location. After we set up we took a walk to the local village, Dorchester. Here we had a pleasant stroll, stopping off at the Abbey where we had tea and cake.
An easy to find, dog friendly CL which we shall use again on any visit to this area. We would highly recommend this site.

Handy and friendly CL within striking distance of Abingdon and Oxford.
We had a pleasant overnight stay at Burcot Brook Lodge CL.
Andy Ashby has put effort into making this a good CL both in terms of the facilities and the operation of the site. The booking and arrival were handled in a friendly and accommodating manner. It was I think a more relaxed experience than staying at most larger club sites.
The field is large allowing far more space for five caravans than standard plots would have. It is completely flat apart from a few rabbit holes. Separated from the road by a row of trees it is quiet and it is secured by a locked gate.
No electric hook up or toilets but they are on the way.
There is a promotional Shepherds hut on display in the field which is a lovely piece of work well worth taking a look at.
Beautiful flat field, peace and tranquility and a very warm welcome
We had a very nice one night stay at this immaculate CL. After a very warm welcome from Nicky we had the whole field to ourselves! Lovely and flat so easy to get our van level.
A sort walk to the nearest footpath and then a very enjoyable circular route along the Thames, with dinner at The Barley Mow at Clifton Hampden en route.
Nearest pub is The Chequers at Burcot which looked very nice.
Also very close to Dorchester which was another lovely walk - via a nature park which Andy recommended for taking our dog for a swim.
All in all a lovely stay and we would definitely go back, only drawback is no toilet but Andy said they are planning to add in the future.
Very welcoming and friendly
We spent a very relaxing two nights on this site watching red kites in abundance. Local picturesque villages within easy reach, as is the Thames path which is well worth a visit if you like walking.
Very warm welcome from Andy who was well informed about the local area and we will definitely be returning.
