Gem of a site

Stayed here last week for 4 nights and are returning in June for another 4 nights. The area is beautiful and the site itself is spot on. Masses of space so still feels private when all pitches are taken. The site itself feels very secure and is extremely well serviced. Very family and dog friendly. Andy & Nicky are lovely hosts and we are really looking forward to our next visit.

Superb site

We have just returned after a 6-night stay. Full marks for the warm welcome from Nicky on our arrival. The site is easy to find and has good access. The CL is a huge flat field, perfect for self-isolation as the 5 pitches are well separated! It’s only a few minutes from Dorchester-on-Thames and 10 minutes from Abingdon yet very much in the country. Wildlife abounds with Canada geese grazing alongside cows in the neighbouring field, kites swooping overhead and we even heard the cuckoo! We’re already planning a return trip.

2 Night Stay

Stayed here for 2 nights 30th April 1st May. This is a lovely CL. Large flat grassed field with plenty of space for 5 caravans. Perfect for exploring the area. Short level walk to Dorchester on Thames with lovely buildings, Abbey and good pubs. Welcoming and knowledgeable host. Would have liked to have stayed longer but I'm sure we'll be back.

Superb site

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Burcot Brook Lodge. We had a friendly welcome from Nicky to her extremely spacious site. It is very easy to find, well connected to the local places of interest, but is quiet and secluded. We managed several excellent walks along the Thames direct from the campsite. The appearance and upkeep of this lovely site is excellent. We would thoroughly recommend a visit here. We will be back!

Great place to stay

We stayed a couple of months ago and so are a bit late in our review! As others have said, very spacious field with good facilities. Andy and Nicky were very welcoming and informative on what is around the local area. We did a lovely walk into Dorchester then onto the Thames path. The tea shop in the Abbey in Dorchester is well worth a visit for the really tasty and massive cake portions. We also did a day trip to Abingdon in our motorhome and there is a car park for spaces for motorhomes just outside the centre, again lovely walking alongside the Thames. Would definitely recommend this CL.

Excellent!

This was a stop-off on the way home from our main holiday as a way to break up the journey and also to visit local friends and family. Would happily make this a main holiday venue. Excellent contact prior to arrival and warm welcome and help give on arrival. Got to be the biggest CL ever stayed at - so spacious and sense of being totally away from everyone. Short walk into exquisite Dorchester and miles of beautiful walking along and around the Thame and Thames. Thank you to Nicky and Andy. :-)

Andy, was there to meet us on arrival as arranged. Very large flat field with short grass, A good Supply of anti-bac sprays and hand sanitisers near water tap, Elsan point and recycle bins. Andy also sprayed with Disinfect twice in our 4 night stay. It was a sort walk to Dorchester on Thames. Andy came over every day to check if everything was ok and to give us lots of info on the surrounding area. The George Coach house in Dorchester Was good Food and beer ,The garden had tables nicely spread out to observe social distancing reasonably priced. we will be back thanks for all the information Andy.

Fabulous site

A beautiful site with plenty of room so lots of space for everyone. Met by Andy on or arrival, a really friendly and knowledgeable chap who gave us information on the history of the area and local places. Lovely trees and wildlife to gaze at. Easy walks or cycle to Dorchester on Thames 1.5 miles away. Easy transport links to Oxford. Will definitely return. Oh and open all year! G&G
