What can I say

What I can say that hasn't all ready been said ,on arrival if Andrew and Sylvia are not around the notice board in the drive gives you all the relevant information regarding where to pitching other info..We nearly always use CLs and I must say that the facilities here are some of the best organised and cleanest I have seen also grass kept nice and short the shower and toilet are excellent also information room well stocked. Plenty of things do and see in the area also Park and ride to Cambridge within twenty min drive.Andrew and Sylvia have made the site one worth another visit .Enjoyed the cakes on arrival.

A super CL

Everything everyone else has said is very true - Heatherbield is a beautifully maintained CL, ample size pitches, level lawned field, beautifully clean shower/loo and a very useful information room too. Easy to find from the directions (yes, we would recommend going over the railway rather than through the tunnel) and a short distance from Ely. A lovely choice of walks with the dog which is not always possible and was much appreciated. Ely is a beautiful little place - the Cathedral is stunning and the shops are interesting - the riverside is good too - parking is all free which can mean it's popular and takes a while to find a space but worth the effort and there are several car parks all around the town. So thank you Sylvia & Andrew for all the hard work you have obviously put into Heatherbield - it does make such a difference and we will certainly be returning.

Like long time friends

We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome if we had been long-time friends, as Andy greeted us with the offer of a cup of tea and cakes!!! It was so easy to find the site, following clear directions and the site entrance was clearly marked. A board just inside the driveway told us that we were expected and where to pitch, if necessary, but with Andy to direct us there was no problem. The site is a delight; spacious, with extensive views, flat and very well kept. Andy and Sylvia must work very hard to keep the site so good. All of the services are well designed and immaculately clean. The dark night skies are wonderful for satellite spotting! The site provided us with an excellent base for visiting many interesting places, especially Ely. There was so much more we could have done, that we shall have to return.

Really lovely CL, Ely

We stayed here in August 2016 and loved it. Warm welcome, pitch any direction you like. So peaceful and relaxing, the field is immaculate and the facilities are incredibly well thought out and maintained. We visited Ely, of course, and RAF Duxford, but were equally happy to enjoy some quality relaxation on site. Thank you for a lovely stay. Use this CL, it's a gem!

What a great CL site

What can I say, this was our first stay on a CL site and it totally surpassed our expectations. Clean, beautiful landscaped site. The shower was nice, clean and yes they do provide shower gel and welcome cakes. Andy and Sylvia are both great to have a chat with and helpful, nothing is too much for them yet they give you space. On a clear night you can star gaze which is something you can't really do in a large city - enjoyable. If you have dogs there are plenty of walks to keep you going. Ely was great, Cambridge isn't too far away. The pub in the village called the Anchor serves great food but its not cheap however we didn't mind. We will be going there again without a doubt :)

What other CL's need!!

What a brilliant site.Level grass, peace and quiet, fabulous bathroom facilities( they even leave body was there) Who could fault it. If your in that area and prefer things like electric, good shower facilities ,plenty of spots of interest just go there.I can say in 22years of vanning it's one of the best and plenty of info from the owners and their dad.

Very well designed & maintained

We are CL Owners ourselves and chose this CL because it offered WiFi access so that we could keep in touch with home. What we found was far better than expected. We know how much work is involved in running a CL, and really appreciate the efforts by the owners of this CL (and their parents) - very well done. This is a well-planned, purpose-made CL with excellent facilities. The shower block was particularly well designed. The information hut was well laid-out with some nice touches such as jig-saw boards and soft toys to borrow. Everything was spotlessly clean and the grass mown regularly. We tend to use the caravan as a base for days-out with our 12 year-old son, and we found plenty within reasonable travelling distance, including: - Anglesey Abbey (National Trust). - Imperial War Museum, Duxford. - Sandringham (Royal residence, open to the public). - West Stow Anglo-Saxon village (family activities are on Thursdays). - the cities of Ely and Cambridge. As CL Owners, our time on holiday is precious, and it was very well-spent at this CL.

Great Find

What a find. Exceptionally well maintained and great facilities. The hosts are very welcoming and we would recommend this site to all, especially if you are visiting Ely - a great little city.
