Smile like the Cheshire Cat
Wonderful CL Site. Warm welcome, beautiful bowling green or golf course lawn, picturesque duck pond with lily pads. Thoroughly enjoyable couple of days. Ideal for exploring Nantwich and surrounding area. Lovely canal side walks. Excellent pitches with individual EHU, water and waste.
Wonderful site
Swanley House is an extremely peaceful and tranquil site, the field is in fact set to lawn and a continuation of the garden of the house. There is a lovely pond with wildlife a plenty. Access to site was very easy for our twin axle Lexon, and a very warm welcome on arrival from Cath. It is in easy reach of historic Nantwich centre with its lovely parish church and quaint timber black and white houses. Easy to reach also are all the quaint little Cheshire villages. Would have no hesitation in recommending this site.
Tremendous CL Site
Just back from a four night stay at this lovely site in picturesque Cheshire. Access is easy via a wide 5 bar gate and the site is extremely well maintained with manicured grass which would make any top golf course proud. The owners, John & Cathy make you very welcome and the quality of the site is all down to their hard work and commitment.
Can't recommend Swanley House highly enough and look forward to our next visit, many thanks to John & Cathy.
Excellent.
We arrived in pouring rain, but as we live on the Eastern side of the Country and we hadn't had a lot of rain,we were not to bothered thinking the grass would be hard.Wrong! This area had a lot of rain and the ground was very soft.
We set up on our pitch which has it's own water, waste and 16amp electric, the grass was cut and in pristine condition, with all the cuttings collected, wish all sites would do that.
We had a warm welcome from the owner, who said we could leave our car on his drive due to the soft grass conditions.
We found out that we were the only people booked in for the weekend.
So quiet, all we could hear was the light engine noise of a passing canal boat,or the birds, heaven.See the campsite photo's.
The weather was fine for the rest of our stay,so we made the most of the walks along the canal after our evening meals.
The area is nice and we visited Nantwich and Whitchurch.
We would return to this cl again, it is lovely.
Great site
Just returned from an 8 night stay on this lovely CL run by a very nice couple, John and Cath. Spacious, with a pond complete with picnic table and another garden seat to enjoy the water lilies and watch the fish swimming around trying not to be the next meal for the resident Heron family. Squirrels, magpies and wood pigeons also provided entertainment. Very central for visiting Nantwich for the markek, Whitchurch , Northwich (home of the Anderton Boat Lift ) and Chester. With the canal just a short walk away you can walk for miles away from traffic and a reasonable walk in the other direction is The Farmers Arms which sells nice food at reasonable prices.Would hope to return sometime in the future.
Brillant site
Swanley House was the last of six sites on our 3 week road trip and certainly lived up to the other reviews. John welcomed us and offered help if we needed. He gave us a helpful sheet of notes and we settled in. the site is like a wonderful lawn with a lake which we sat beside to eat our lunch and walks along the canal which is very close by. We would certainly like to go back if we are that way again. Thank you
Lovely Site
Being new to caravanning, we booked here for two nights to try the caravan out as it is only 20 minutes down the road. The site itself is lovely with a nice pond area and plenty of room for kids to play away from the caravans. The owners were away while we stayed, but were greated by their daughter. Access on to the field is via a gate from the main road, that has a sign with your allocated pitch number. I wouldn't hesitate to return back.
Swanley house what a loverly find
I searched a lot of C Ls in the Cheshire area and found this Gem. The owners works hard to make a lovely well run site. Access from the road very good and pitches are well spaced out.
The owners have provided a lot of typed pages with the places of local interest. The owners caravan themselves and are very friendly.
The site is only about 300m from the canal.
