Swanley Excels Itself

This is a wonderful site and has great facilities.  It was our first visit and had tried a few times to get on - clearly lots of people love this site.  The booking was easy and on arrival there was a sign on the gate showing where each of us (3 in our party) were pitching up.  The grounds were immaculate and there is a lovely pond area with benches.  There is a secure gate on the entrance so you feel safe and secluded.  There is hook up electric and a water point, waste points and recycling for all goods.   Taxi into Nantwich costs between £7-£10 although taxis not that easy to get and we found you need to book in advance. There are lovely walks nearby to the canal but it appeared that the 2 local pubs had closed down. The site was very quiet, plenty of space between each pitch and the daughter of the owner who came round was very helpful and polite. All 3 of us really liked this site and it will certainly become a regular of ours.

Excellent all round

We really like this CL and found the owners very welcoming. The pitch was quite level and the field was well looked after. There is a canal nearby which is a nice walk. The facilities are good and the town of Nantwich is very nice. It has a great Tea room opposite the museum. It is called Molly's Tea shoppe, and gives good value for money and a very friendly atmosphere. We will return.

Beautiful C L.

Spent 7 nights here June 15. Nice big field with fish pond at bottom. But not for fishing. Owners really friendly. Grass kept short. Only down side is having to stop on main road to open and shut gate. Never the less we would go back again sometime.

Return Visit

The previous reviews say it all, there is nothing that can be improved, if only all CL's were like this, our second visit and already thinking of going back, so close to home, and our little gem, well worth a visit

A bigger CL

We had a wonderful stay at this CL for just a weekend and we shall be back as it's only an hour from home. It's a little pricier than some other CL's but it is immaculately cared for. The mains EHU was suitably rated, no trips through overloading or any problems. The site was nice and flat, so it was a cinch to level the caravan. There's no over crowding as the field is a generous size despite the owners allowing 7 vans on for one night!

We enjoyed walking our dog along the canal which runs adjacent to the site and is only a 10 minute walk away. The owners were welcoming, and so were the three weimaraner dogs. Very convenient for Crewe and Nantwich, and we enjoyed a few hours over at Bridgemere Garden Centre. I would ask the owners to consider not allowing more than 5 vans on the site at any given time as per club rules, even though the field is big enough.

wow our first visit but not our last

Just 30 minutes from home and we found this stunning little gem, it wont be our last visit, The proprietors were great, helpful, and very welcoming, the grounds were immaculate and a credit to the owners.  There were no children there on our visit so it was especially tranquil ( sorry to those who have children)  Plenty to do nearby, Looking forward to going back

Beautiful site and welcoming owners

We stayed here for two nights this month while visiting our Granddaughter. The site is immaculately maintained and in a lovely area within easy reach of Nantwich, Chester and North Wales. There are lovely walks on the canal, which is just behind the site We were the only unit there but even had it been full I couldn't imagine it being anything but peaceful.  The owners were very welcoming and we will be back for a stay soon.

Beautifully maintained and spacious site

On arrival we were amazed by the immaculate site and the size. There is a pond with a picnic table and seats which is a nice touch. It has certainly been well thought out. There is an information container providing details on places to visit and eat. (We can definately recommend 'The Nags Head' which is about 4 miles away. The food is lovely and accommodate gluten and wheat free dishes, including chips, which is a big plus!) Information sheets are available on local walks along the canal which was extremely useful and certainly worthwhile. A fantastic site which we would highly recommend as long as there is availability when we re-book.

Beautiful landscaped site

Recently stayed at Swanley house for 10 days. Beautifully landscaped and very well kept site. Acres of room and lovely walks nearby. Ideal for exploring Cheshire, Chester and North Wales. Will definitely visit again.
