Great location

We booked a stay on here as my son in law was running the marathon. Perfectly placed to get the DLR to Greenwich for the starting area, or the Elizabeth Line into central London. Toilet block and showers warm and clean, wardens very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend a lot of time on the site as we were out and about until eatly evening, but would definitely use again for visiting the city.

Excellent stay within 30 mins of Greenwich

We stayed here the weekend of the marathon when central London hotels were all booked out. We were here for a wedding Greenwich. The staff were most helpful with a prompt checkin helping us by locating a pitch close to the entrance and speeding us through the system. The clear instructions on locating the station meant we were on time for my nephews wedding at 2 pm. A fast turnaround! Thank you so much for your welcome and good wishes. We are very grateful and would love to return for a more leisurely visit.

Excellent location for exploring

We have just stayed at this site and immediately rebooked for July. The location is incredible, Abbey Wood station is 10 minutes away and allows you to explore so many different parts of London. Also, there are plenty of shops and parks for walking your dogs. The staff are lovely. We had an issue with our pitch and they could not have done more to help us. So friendly and we had such a warm welcome. Would highly recommend this site!

Couldn’t be more grateful

This was our second visit to Abbey Wood having being super impressed previously . Not only the cleanliness and location of the site but friendliness as well. The staff this time were marvellous as our vehicle broke down on route and when we arrived not only were so helpful they made it easy for us to get recovered at the end of our Easter break. A family friendly site, spotless and great access to links into London and surrounding areas . A little oasis of greenery

Super site, great wardensd

A perfect site to stay whilst visiting London, Elizabeth line just a 10 minute walk, very easy link to get into London. The wardens are absolutely superb, very helpful and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay, grounds and facilities are immaculate. Our second visit and no doubt we shall return in the future, highly recommend this site !!

Perfect for visiting London

What a great site, ideally situated for visiting London. The site is what you expect from a CAMC site, very friendly staff greeted on arrival & warned us about the cheeky foxes lol. Elizabeth line took us 8 mins to walk to from the road opposite the site. There are plenty of food outlets in the village with a huge Sainsbury just the other side of the Station. Easy to get anywhere in London. We will be back.

Woodland in the city

Why would you stay here? Its approach is through residential streets (although a bit convoluted, it’s best to follow the approach advised by CAMC), there is nothing much around. However, it’s ten minutes walk from the Elizabeth line that whisks you into London by tube in no time. It’s a direct tube to Tottenham Court Road where you can go to West End shows and then hop back on again in the evening and you are back in your caravan within forty minutes. Greenwich is a short ride away and access to all of London is on your doorstep. We pitched up and never used the car in almost a fortnight. The site itself is a lovely unexpected oasis of trees and bird song. As most people seemed to spend the day in the city and travel by tube the site was quiet of both traffic and people. Whilst it is quiet as in activity on site you will still hear the planes, distant trains and traffic in the background depending on the wind. For anyone after a bit of non-city woodland relief there’s miles of quiet woodland walks (or trail runs) in the adjoining Lesnes Abbey Woods and Bostall Heath. The site team were all brilliant. Friendly and informative. You couldn’t ask for a better group of wardens. We will definitely be back in the future. It was great to be able to visit the city but then retreat to the comfort of our own caravan at the end of the day.

Brilliant in every way!

We stayed at Abbey Wood for five nights and cant praise the staff enough. A superb welcome, loads of advice (it was our first time at this site) on how to get to various places in London, highly recommend the Elizabeth Line. Above all the site was immaculate, Loo’s, Showers were great and very clean and outside the grounds were well kept. Special thanks to Paul, Karen, Ian, Vikki, Sharron and Brian for a tremendous site, we would highly recommend to everyone.

Superb site and great location

We stayed here for 2 nights in January and loved every minute. Abbey Wood campsite is a lovely green oasis surrounded by trees but an easy train ride from the centre of London. The site is gently sloping but pitches are huge and hard standing is level. We were also lucky to have excellent TV reception on our pitch which was an unexpected bonus. Just the perfect place to stay if you’re planning a visit to London. Highly recommended and I can’t wait to stay again.
