A haven near Central London
A five night stay gave us time for trips to Greenwich by bus (40 mins), 2 train trips to Central London (Cannon St or Charing Cross about 25/30 mins), a 'stay local day' when we walked to the nearby Lesnes Abbey Park - amazing views over London and interesting ruined Abbey and park for a picnic and a good local curry at the Taj Mahal. With parakeets in the trees, warm sunshine, clean toilets, a big new Sainsburys 10 mins walk away and friendly staff it was a great camp site to stay for London tourists.
