We stayed here for a pre-Christmas visit in 2016 and really enjoyed our stay so we were happy to return a couple of weekends ago. We found Knee Hill to be absolutely fine for our small PVC but agree that it might be tricky for caravans or very large outfits. The wardens were very welcoming on arrival and I particularly appreciated the additional handout to the site leaflet that contained lots of useful information. The sheet regarding travel into central London which also contains a map showing the nearest fuel station was also really helpful. As always with CAMC sites the facilities were clean and warm. You can hear some traffic noise but really very little given that the site is in London. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a rural site, some of the trees are very old and really quite beautiful. We saw woodpeckers and parakeets from our van window as well as squirrels. There was a fox wandering around at night which I also enjoyed seeing. Travel into London on the train with a tube journey and return cost about £8 each which is very reasonable. Surely the best way to stay in London!
