Great first outing

Arrived Thursday lunchtime to a warm welcome and got set up quickly on a very generous sized fully serviced pitch.Enjoyed our time here very much.Took us 35 minutes to walk into Bury market, large and very busy while we were there.Taxi back cost reasonable £5.50.Weather very windy and wet most of the time we were on site but we enjoyed visits to Brown Cow (very busy Friday)and also good meal Saturday lunchtime at Garsdale pub just down the road when the chef kindly fired his kitchen back up for us because we arrived last minute. Also nice waterside walks right off site, spotted a couple of herons.Really good first trip of the year

Brilliant clean and friendly site for dog owners

We have just spent a week at this site and can highly recommend it to anyone, especially dog owners and steam railway lovers. It is situated right next to lovely walks by a river and the railway line. The site is a credit to the wardens, who work so hard in keeping the site clean and tidy. Thank you for making us so welcome.

Pleasant Weekend

Very friendly welcome and easy to site van. Cannot fault this site, great location with easy access to Bury & Manchester (via 135 Bus from Bury). Quiet during the evening with no noise from surrounding area. Overall a very peaceful weekend for the first outing of the year. Will certainly come back.

Lovely site

Stayed at Burrs for 6 nights during a 700 mile tour of England and it was lovely. everything was immaculate and although by the end of my stay the site was pretty much full it was a peaceful haven, I will definately be back! The cobbled road leading to the site is a bit of a bone shaker and beware a small dip in the road just before you come to the very short but quite steep incline into the car park, especially if you arrive late as it is really dark. Even though you are right near the centre of Bury it doesnt feel like a town setting. lovely views and the pub beside the site is fab!

Lovely time

just returned from this lovely site, where we enjoyed a very nice long weekend. The site was spotless as it is with all c.c. Sites. We could not get a picture on our TV owing to signal failure on the site and we were prepared to do without, but one of the wardens went the extra mile and rigged up a temporary system which gave us t.v. viewing for the rest of the w/end. There is a lovely pub ( the brown cow ) just yards from the entrance of the site which served excellent food and beer and a very warm atmosphere. Thank you all for making our weekend special.

Good Caravan Site

Our first time here and we will return. Very peaceful and my husband enjoyed the trains. The pub close by does very good food at reasonable prices. The site itself is very clean and the pitches are spacious. The only one thing is that the road to the site is cobbled and there are a few pot holes near the entrance of the site. Good walks and easy to walk into Bury itself.
