We stayed for two nights in early February, our first time here. Even in wet and windy conditions the drive across the Pennines was easy. The site was as you would expect immaculately kept and staff very welcoming and hospitable. For a motorhomer with no other transport the site is ideal. There are three pubs serving food within ten minutes walk, Cheshire Oaks shopping development is again about ten minutes walk, with a range of restaurants and buses leave from here to both Chester and Liverpool and indeed to Chester Zoo. A huge Sainsburys supermarket is adjacent to the shopping complex also making it unnecessary to drive off site once set up unless you should wish to. Just make sure to carry a torch if walking Rakes Lane in the dark as it is unlit and without pavement. Altogether I would highly recommend the site and will definitely return.
