In need of TLC

Have just returned from this club site which we used to visit many years ago when our two sons were teenagers. It was extremely busy all the time we were there and as one toilet block was not fully operational this put pressure on the other. We felt somewhat intimidated by the notices about secure cycle lock up available and the police crime notices in the toilet block and on Friday there was a police car patrolling the site. I suppose it is better to be warned and not something the club can avoid. We also felt that the toilet blocks were definitely "tired" and needed some major TLC.  Great for families.

Bank holiday weekend

Just returned from 2nd trip out to clumber (4 day stay) and the site is a credit to wardens - well kept, friendly staff and regular walk rounds making sure all in order. As a dog owner and walker one message to those others - clean your dogs mess up on the dog walk trails!!!!!!!!!!

Great location

Lovely site for a weekend away. Friendly welcome from wardens, facilities clean & in good order. Attractive location in the woods, good walking and cycling (bikes kept in useful lockup shed).

CLUMBER WONDER

Goodness knows how many times we've been to Clumber Park but we're never disappointed. We arrived on a windy day with plenty of pitch choice but then Good Friday apart the weather was great. The beauty of Clumber is you can walk forever and don't need to use your car; no mobile service is an added bonus! The wardens were friendly and helpful and as you'd expect they work so hard to make everyone's stay so enjoyable. We will of course be back. Bob and Joy Sugden Conwy, North Wales

Easter Stopover

Great spot for our overnight quick stop, we booked online last minute and pleased to be accommodated.  Very friendly staff, usual standard procedures as expected. Very busy as school holidays, so amenities well used. Great Weather always makes it seem more pleasant.

Easter funshine

Had a great stay at clumber park. It's iur 2nd visit. The toilet facilities are good and clean, the downfall there isn't due to the wardens just demand and use as the park was at capacity so no great shock that things aren't always stick and span at every visit. Great site for walking and cycling and even managed our first bbq of the year! Kids park in full use which is great to see and the general feel of the park is great . Had a chuckle at some vans parked the wrong way round but hey all the more entertaining when they are asked to move the job lot. Didn't take bike so can't comment on the storage but at least it's there to use if you want it. Would recommend the site as family friendly. Good job at a very busy time

Easter week

Enjoyed our Easter week break on our first outing to clumber but a couple of comments in regard to: Toilet blocks where facilities which on occasion where not clean or replenished other than after the wardens daily clean regime.  Whilst it didn't affect ourselves on walking round the site there were a number of pitches where residents had clearly disregarded the guidelines / site rules of the Club with over sized awnings (one motor home in particular!) impacting on neighbouring pitches and dogs being allowed to run off leads but still nice to see the number of families and kids on site.

Just needs some renovation

This site is ideal for walkers, cyclists, children in fact everyone. The wardens are excellent. The only downside is the state of the toilet blocks. They are now quite old and in need of renovation. The wardens do their best but at the high price per night a refurb is really needed. Also please bring back the mop.

Security

This site is perfectly placed for cycling and walking. Excellent in fact. The only down side was the big security issue. There had been many items stolen including quad bikes. You had to lock your bikes away in the site bike shed overnight. Needless to say it was rammed full and not enough room. Our bikes were damaged in their due to people trying to get there own bikes out.

Lucky last minute break

We had a fabulous time at Clumber Park, our 3 children loved it, did not want to go home! Take your bikes and there's some great bike tracks to Clumber Park NT, and take a ride all the way round the lake its beautiful. Thanks to the staff for the Easter Trail and the colouring competition for the kids, they loved it and it added to the magic of the stay. Facilities were brilliant, never queued for showers and they were as hot as you wanted them and as my little boy said fast showers (power shower). Thanks again and keep up your hard work.
