Stayed here for a weekend.Very welcoming, pleasant and helpful wardens. Usual Caravan Club standard of cleanliness. Great walks along Cramond and Silverknowes shores. Tv reception was great. Local bus services into town available although we did not use them. There was a little bit road noise. As the planes come in to land from this direction the noise was not as bad as when they take off Will definately return.
A Festival at Edinburgh
We used Edinburgh as a stop off to Dunnet Bay, and found the site wonderful. Even if you don't have a dog please do the dog walk as it is very interesting, just remember to take your porridge oaks! Fantastic site and would go back on our next trip.
Capital visit
Great site very convenient for seeing the sights of Edinburgh. Pick your pitch away from the road but you cant get away from the noise of the planes going over. Other than that very helpful staff and nice clean site.
Two Night Break
Our first time on a Caravan Club Site as new members. Surprised by the professionalism of site and staff who are very helpful. Site facilities are first rate and clean. We are used to more open sites and found the close confines of this site a little claustrophobic. But people nice and chatty. Would stay again if back up this way. No need for WIFI as mobile phone signal strength is very good on 3G.
Ideal base to explore Edinburgh
Very good we'll run site, ideal for a base to explore Edinburgh and surrounding areas, stayed for a week at the end of May 2015, first time visiting Edinburgh only 4-5 miles to town centre, Good bus service if required
What a Great Time
We were in Edinburgh during May 2015. What a jewel this campsite is. The wardens are friendly, nothing was too much trouble, the facilities were good and the site was well kept, clean and tidy. There is a minibus right from the campsite into the city, and a fantastic bus service, and you can get an unlimited travel card from the bus office in the city. the camp is within easy access of the shore and there is plenty of easy walking, if you have a wheelchair, pushchair or dogs.
We had a wonderful time and would certainly come back again.
Great Site
Stopped here for bank holiday weekend 02 May till 04 May 2015.Perfect site and great choice of pitches.Site is really well looked after by the wardens who cannot do enough for you,we had slight problem with electric and help was there within 5 mins.there is some aircraft noise but it did not bother us.Will certainly be returning.
Brilliant for city breaks
We have just returned from a great stay here, the wardens were very welcoming, friendly and informative. As previously mentioned the site is well maintained and peaceful, although it is on the flight path into Edinburgh Airport, I am a very light sleeper and I never found the noise intrusive. The bus service into the city is excellent, with the bus stop an easy 10 min walk away. There is good access to the beach for dog walking. There is a mobile chip van that comes on a Fri & Sat night (we're not really fish and chip lovers), but I have to say the quality of the food was first class, all cooked fresh so there is a bit of a wait but it was well worth it and after a long day sight seeing in the city it was great to come back to good hot food without having to cook. We had a great time here and could have stayed much longer and have come away with loads of things still to do, we'll certainly be returning here soon.
a joy,
A CLEAN WELL KEPT SITE. FRIENDLY, HELPFUL WARDENS, WHO WORK HARD TO MAKE IT AN EXCELLENT SITE. WELL DONE .

Peaceful site
We arrived on Good Friday and stayed for a week at this lovely site. We were rewarded with beautiful warm sunny weather for the whole week. Wardens very friendly and helpful. The facilities were as expected very clean. This was our fifth visit here as we love the site. We enjoy sitting outside watching the birds and squirrels. There is plenty to see and do in the area and it is convenient for the shops. The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel are a must, although you might want to consider taking out a bank loan for ice creams at the wheel! The Toby restaurant is just along the road which is great for breakfast and carvery's. Although it is on the flight path for the airport the noise from the aircraft didn't disturb us. The Firth of Forth is just along the road and it's very relaxing to park up and watch the world go by.
