lovely site

We visited this lovely site for the first time last weekend  6/3/15 and what a gem of a site.. When we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome and lovely smile from the site warden , we chose our pitch carefully and everything was Close at hand from the well kept shower block to water/waste dispensers, the only thing we heard was when the planes were taking off from nearby Edinburgh airport but it wasn't any problem sleeping, the bus stop into Edinburgh city centre is only a 10 min walk from the site and takes about a15 min journey. I shall definately visit this site again very soon... Bill.

Wonderful site :-)

The site is very well located. Not too close so plenty of open spaces, not too far to not be easy to access the city and local attractions by the frequent local bus routes. The site wardens are excellent, a warm welcome, helpful, and they maintain the site to superb standards :-) Do not miss a visit to the Royal Yacht, and tea in the on board restaurant is a real treat ! The local attractions are too numerous to list, so use the information room which has lots of good publications. Enjoy :-)

Edinburgh

First outing of the year - for Scotland/Italy Rugby at Murrayfield.  More peaceful then staying in a busy city hotel for the weekend.  We have stayed here so many times and we are never disappointed.  Bus stop only five minutes walk from site with regular buses into city centre.

Great start

This was our first ever trip in our caravan so a bit daunting. We arrived in the dark, much later than we'd hoped. The staff were extremely helpful and we felt reassured!! They continued to be helpful throughout, we loved the site and the whole atmosphere. Very clean, easy to access, no problems at all.

Last weeks stay

First time as a member staying at a club site. The owners were very friendly and really helpful, supplying us with area info and bus timetables etc. The dog walk down to the beach is beatiful. As you can imagine the middle of February is quite chilly so it was a relief to find the shower room lovely and warm. Ideal location to explore Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Will definately visit again.

excellent site

We stayed here very recently and it was our first stay on a caravan club site , the staff were very helpful and the whole place was spotless . Our only complaint was not with the club but the aeoplanes overhead . Will definitely return though as golf course right next to site

Wellcoming

We have used this sight many times, we have family who live in Edinburgh . Our only criticism is that there is no longer a bus stop outside. We have always been made very welcome. We are back later this year.

Everything made easy

Easy to find and approach, can avoid the city centre altogether. Lovely location, green and beach across the road. Lovely helpful wardens, well laid out, usual excellent CC amenities.Thoroughly recommended.

Base for Edinburgh visit

Must say how friendly and helpful the warden was, she even lent me a hammer when mine broke! Facilities, whilst a little dated, were immaculately clean and site kept tidy. Good base for exploring the city, only a short walk to the bus stop. You do hear the planes  coming in to land, but didn't bother us. Would recommend to anyone.
