Would return but !!!!

Stayed here for 3 nights taking advantage of the midweek offer price, We were given a warm welcome by very helpful and friendly staff. The site is undergoing work / maintenance which left some parts being closed off, didn't bother us.The only issues we found were noise from planes as on flight path from Edinburgh Airport, maybe not enough showers given its size, Dog walking area only open during certain times 9-5 i think it was? Certainly wouldn't feel safe going out of the site at night on my own. Location of site is on an industrial estate with litter strewn everywhere outside the site. Nice walk and views along the promenade sort of makes up for the small faults, Would return but certainly would not pay normal price far too expensive.

Personally didn't find the planes a problem, however noise is very subjective. Don't know about the litter, there certainly wasn't any when we visited. However, where is the industrial estate it is in the middle off. Must have missed that.🤔

We are all entitled to our own opinions whether people agree with them or not, I only stated facts and I am not the only one to comment on it being on an industrial estate, you must have missed that !! tongue-out

Not sure why you say the site is on an industrial estate, yes there is an industrial estate not far away but the site itself has a green open space to 3 side, which includes a golf course, a sports ground & a bit of a woodland, then there is the road Marine Drive before the embankment which takes you to the tarmac walk way on the 4th side.  Yes there is a lot of rubbish strewn around the outside of the site, but this is something the club & site wardens cannot control, the site is very tidy & well maintained.

You have the aircraft flying over head but we didn’t find that a problem, we have been at the site at least 3 times in the past so we’re aware of been on the flight path to Edinburgh airport.

Would we use the site again, yes we would we have just spent 15 nights here over Christmas & New Year so not just an odd night on site.

Of course we are all entitled to comment but facts have to accurate.

Now my eyesight isn’t the best but I don’t think I’d miss camping on an industrial estate!
I do agree about the litter.  That I have seen and also emailed the local council about.  Litter anywhere is my bugbear.

Anyone concerned about the situation of any site should use the services of Google Earth.  I find it invaluable as I like to avoid narrow roads where possible and also get a general overview of an area.

Also good for spotting campsites on industrial estates! 😁
