Very nice

What a surprise, a beautiful park, near a beautiful beach. We arrived and we had no reservation, my mistake, luckily someone canceled and we had a place. The staff was very friendly. I will come back

Lovely site

We have just spent a wonderful 12 days on this sight, wardens are very helpful obliging, friendly and ready with some light friendly banter.  Easy access the beach either at Gwithain, Godvery or Hayle.  Shopping closeby with good sized stores - Next M&S and Boots stores as well as a Lidl supermarket.  Facilities are very clean with fresh flowers the make in homely. Will definitely be returning the near future. Thank you lovely wardens for making our stay enjoyable.

The best welcome

We stayed at Godrevy from the 7th June for 14 nights. On arrival we had one of the warmest, friendliest welcomes ever. We had booked in for one week, but within an hour we went back to reception to book a second week. Steve and Janet together with Brian and Janet (the Wardens) were helpful and cheerful throughout the two weeks we were there (how do they keep it up?) As well as all their routine jobs they seemed to be on-the-go all day every day with extras– planting annuals, pulling out oil seed rape from the hedgerows and generally keeping the grounds immaculate. Godrevy is a compact site and it was full throughout our stay but it remained quiet and peaceful; it was a most relaxing place to stay. My only negative comment regards the queues most mornings for the male wcs; four cubicles are clearly insufficient! We were disappointed that nearest set of steps down to the beach had been washed away in the winter and not replaced. However we enjoyed the half mile walk through the Towens (dunes) to the beach access ramp to the North. The beach itself is wonderful. As were the seals around Godrevy Point. Number 57 bus (hourly) stops outside the gate and goes to St Ives or Newquay. The ride to Newquay is spectacular and is recommended. We found it best to drive and park in Conner Downs to catch the number 18 and 14 buses as we felt the half mile lane walk from the CC site to the bus stop was potentially dangerous. A great site, location and team of wardens. Thank you for a lovely stay.

A lovely site

This is a delightful site with very friendly and helpful staff. The toilet and shower block is clean and tidy with good facilities for washing up. The shop has some basic provisions which we supplemented from the Fish and Chip van which visited the site.  The site is sub divided into a number of smaller and secluded areas.  There is a nearby bus service to Hayle and St Ives but this does involve a 10/15 minute walk back from the bus stop up a steep hill back to the Site.  The beach nearby is lovely and unspoilt and provides some lovely walking opportunities.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

Brilliant location

We stayed here for 4 days in May. The site is easy to get to from the A30. Friendly wardens greeted us and left us to choose a pitch for our motorhome. Pitches are generous with most surrounded by some sort of shrubbery. There is a lovely beach across the sand dunes which are across the road at the back of the site through a gate (£1 deposit). The shower block was spotless with plenty of hot water. We hired a car for 2 days and took in the sights of Lands End, the Minack Theatre, Penzance, St. Ives the Geevor Tin Mine, but still didn't have time to see everything, so we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic Wardens!

Having visited most West Country sites this was our first trip here. It won't be the last. The welcome was way above the average greeting. You really did feel that you were being welcomed. A little friendly chat, advice on pitches and help volunteered. The site was spotless and the wardens seemed to be working non stop. Yes the site is superbly positioned, especially for the beach but it's all four wardens that make it stand out from others. Thanks for a great stay.

We will return!

This was the second time that we have visited this site. After an eventful journey we were glad to arrive and the assistant wardens couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The site was almost full (it was half-term) and yet it still retained its quiet and peaceful ambience (despite lots of kids including our 2!) Our children enjoyed the activity book and trail. We will definitely book again.

much improved

this was our second stay here both of which have been very enjoyable.the site has been very much improved mainly by the major trimming of trees and hedges allowing much more sunlight onto the pitches.the shop has also improved including the ordering of newspapers.the wardens were excellent with a very good sense of humour

Easter 2015

We have just returned from a week at Godrevy Park, it was a last minute booking and was a little concerned as we hadn't really taken a lot of time to read the reviews of the site. We are a family of 5 plus a dog. On arrival the wardens were very friendly and helpful, they offered advice based on the best pitches to suit us and our caravan. The site is very well kept the toilet blocks were immaculate and had added touches of flowers. The park area which isn't mentioned much was a real surprise and got a massive thumbs up from my children, its a large park area with a good variety of good quality equipment. There isn't a dog walk but the Sand dunes are fabulous for exercising your dogs, I would recommend that you use the gate at the side of the site, a key is provided for a £1 deposit, the crossing of the road to get access to the dunes is much safer there. we watched a number of glorious sunsets from the dunes of an evening. The fish and Chip van visits twice weekly at this point it was on a Tuesday and Friday evening and were lovely. There is a LIDL at the bottom of the road and a number of well known supermarkets within 5 mins driving distance. Nothing is too far from this site, we visited many places from here and had a wonderful week. We will definitely return. The only possible downside we could envisage in the summer is the number of Dog restrictions on the local beaches we were ok as most of the Bans start on the 1st May but obviously this is not under the sites control.

great location

We visited this site with our son and niece. We all loved it. The pitches were very spacious and there was plenty of room for the kids to run around. Lovely park for the kids to enjoy and a short walk to the sand dunes and beach. Me and the dog got lost on the dunes though so take a phone and drink with you. unfortunately we had to visit the GP when we were there and the site warden's were very helpful. We will be visiting again again.
