Wonderful site for walking

This is a fabulous site and one of our favourites so far. Small and peaceful with immaculate facilities. There are lovely views from the site. The main bonus for us were the fabulous walks directly from the site. There are innumerable options particularly if you use the train. We will certainly return many times!

Lovely site

We spent a lovely couple of days here over Easter.  Wardens very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, suggesting walks including a beautiful walk to Corfe Castle.  Conveniently placed to catch the steam train to Swanage.  Toilets were very clean and warm, hardly saw anyone else in them at the same time though the site was not full.  Convenient dog walking area much appreciated especially with a puppy because they need to go when they need to go.

A real gem.

We spent 3 days at the site over Easter with our two labs. A lovely welcome on arrival.  The site is very clean and in a very quiet location.  It is also well situated for easy travel to Swanage, Corfe, Studland, Kimerage Bay (fantastic cream tea in the village/Dorset Apple Cake and lashings of cream). The site it self was easy to find.  The toilet block is not the biggest, as has been commented on by others.  However,  given the site was full none of us had to wait to shower morning or night. Site was spotless and would recommend to singles, couples or families.  It was just just right. Reception sells milk, bread, ice creams and sweets.  For anything more or forgotten no where is far to top or stock up. I will certainly return here with my family. A great weekend and many thanks to the wardens,  very nice people.

Very enjoyable stay despite electrical problems Mar.2016

We have been here before and find it a lovely site for visiting the area. The wardens were very friendly and helpful . We had a series of electrical supply faults culminating in a 24 hr period without power which we found ' interesting '  as our fridge stubbornly refused to work from gas.  The next morning we were able to move to a pitch with ' power' thank goodness ! We love the site when it's quiet but not so sure how it would cope if full as toilet block is a bit small and dated.

Nice site, good location.

Excellent wardens, good location for walking and sightseeing.  Wouldn't want to be there in the busy season as the toilet block is far too small.  Hopefully the electricity problems will be sorted soon.

First Class!

We stayed here in March for our very first caravan trip. The site had major electrical problems which meant the electric was off for most of our first day. However, the contactor and CC steward worked very hard to sort everything out. In fact the stewards were great, going out of their way to help us novices. The site is clean and tidy, close to Swanage. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay.

Well Kept & Friendly Site

Stayed at the site for 3 days following collection of our new caravan from Automotive Leisure. On arrival the staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Would recommend the site & its location.

A gem of a site

We've been coming down to Haycraft for many years now. This year the improvement was incredible - site nice and neat all over, bins emptied very regularly and toilet block very clean - all thanks to the lovely Wardens Trevor and Claire. They are a charming couple and couldn't have been more helpful. I agree with other reviews that, although the Wardens keep them spotless, the toilet block is in real need of being upgraded. Three showers are just not sufficient and they need to come up to the usual high CC standards. This site doesn't have a playground for children but there is a lovely one just down by the railway station. Lots to do and see in the area especially if you are walkers. We absolutely love escaping the busy south east to rural Dorset. Can't recommend this site enough but really shouldn't say that because it is very difficult to get into!

Steam, scenery and sunshine.

Had a wonderful week at Haycraft. Not our first visit and never fails to deliver. Lots of walks along the coastal path which is reached by a scenic 2 mile or so walk from the site across the fields. Great for us motor caravanners without a car to rely on. Love the train too. Weather was very kind, always a bonus!  Excellent wardens, very friendly and couldn't be more helpful especially when we had trouble with the Wi-FI. Shame the site isn't open for longer, we would love to visit during the winter too.  We will be back again. Can't wait.
