Here at last!

Haycraft is a very popular site and at last managed to get a booking. We enjoyed our stay here. A beautiful location with views of the sea. Site is up to the usual high CC standards. Facilities good and the wardens keep them scrupulously clean. Plenty of things to see and do. If you take the bus it's quite a steep hill to the stop, but you can get to Poole, Corfe, Wareham and Swanage very easily. The Swanage railway is just down the road and you can get discount on the rail fare from the Wardens. Excellent all round!

Love Haycraft !

Another fabulous weekend we had at Haycraft. We love this site, it's a nice size and the wardens this year were super lovely and some of the nicest we have met.  The shower block was super clean and tidy, I never found availability a problem but I shower at night so can't comment on what it's like in the mornings.  The location of the site is fabulous. We walk into Corfe Castle for coffee and cake with our little dog and then take the train down to Swanage and go up to Peveril Point and Durlston head, have something to eat and head back to Harmans Cross on the train.  We were lucky as the trains were running late for a VW festival so we could have come back as late as 10.15 if we had wanted to.  Swanage is a delight and has a lovely welcoming feel.  Went to Studland for a walk to old Harry Rocks.  You will never be short of places to visit staying at Haycraft.  CC please make all pitches at Haycraft hard standing and I would like to see security gates if possible put in (as per another review).  If they don't change a thing at Haycraft we will still go back again and again - thanks to the Wardens for looking after us so well.

Great location but refurbishment needed

This site is perfectly located for both coast and countryside. The wardens are helpful and keep the site clean and tidy. The toilet and shower facilities are inadequate for the number of people on the site as most pitches have many people staying on it so you may have to queue for showers at peak holiday times. An entry barrier should be fitted to stop motor vans cruising around after 8pm when the wardens are off duty. We observed this on several occasions as the vans offloaded their rubbish and effluence usually leaving after using the facilites as well.

Lovely peaceful and friendly

Just returned from a very enjoyable week at Haycraft.  We will definitely go back, provided we can get in!  Very popular site, mostly full all week, and we can see why.  Great location, close to lots of interesting beaches, walks and attractions, yet really peaceful on site.  Friendly guests, all chatting and passing time of day, but not overly so.  Toilet block a bit old style but clean and did the job.  We had a pitch at the top level of the site which seemed brighter and sunnier than the lower tier.  Wish we were still there

Gem of a site

This is the second time we've stayed at this site, it's perfect for the steam railway, Swanage, Corfe and Wareham all of which are well worth a visit. Studland bay is quite near and has a beautiful beach.  The relief wardens were on site during our visit and they couldn't have been more helpful. The wash rooms were spotlessly clean as was the site itself.  We will visit again.

Tour of the South West on our Swift Kontiki

A lovely site with distant sea views and site and sounds of the Swanage Steam railway! The wardens were very helpful and friendly. There are many beautiful beaches close by including Swanage, National Trust Studland Beach and using the vehicle ferry to access Sandbanks, Poole and Bournemouth. There are good walks from the site to Corfe Castle and we hopped on the steam train back to the station at Harmans Cross just down the lane from the site. A wonderful place for a family holiday.

A lovely bijou site.

We have just returned from a week at this lovely little site. Although the toilet block is quite small it was always clean and tidy. The site is within a short walk  to the Swanage Railway and the wardens sell discounted tickets. The bus stop is not so convenient as it at the top of a very steep narrow lane. Once you get into Swanage there is a good open top bus service to Bournemouth via the chain ferry at Sandbanks. There is also a bus to poole via Corfe Castle and Wareham.

our short break

Just a short break, but this site is ideally situated for the coast with walks, and perfect for steam train lovers, and great for a visit to the annual bournemouth air show.shower/ toilet facilities good but limited, arrive in good time or you could end up on a grass pitch on a wet day a real challenge, access is very tight and anyone not sticking to the arrival and departure rules could come badly unstuck.as usuall the site" staff" excellent.

Lovely Dorset

This the second time this year that we have stayed at this club site. Although it is not the easiest site to get to from where we live in Herefordshire, the trip is well worth the  journey when you pull onto this site as you are welcomed by really nice wardens and the site is spotless. The site is positioned perfectly to see all that Dorset has to offer. It was also a short trip for us to attend the Bournmouth Air Show which was a delight.

Wow Staem Train as well!

Didnt realise when we booked it that there was a steam train line to Swanage just a few minutes walk away, what luck ! My only concern was the narrow up and down lane to get ti the site, as we were concerned we might meet another caravan coming our way, as there are a few privat sites off this lane as well. Aas it turned out we were ok. if only the weather had been better Chris Ransom
