The site is very spacious and is a joy to stay at. Close to Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Combe Martin.
The site managers Gary & Sarah really care about the site and maintain it to a very high standard.
Watermouth castle is a must for families with young children.
Having no toilet block means it is good value for money.
Great site
Very friendly and helpful wardens, lovely open aspect from every pitch, in striking distance of great beaches and Devon places of interest. It’s brilliant value if, like us, you use caravan facilities. At a time when some club sites are £50 a night, this is a winning combination for a long family holiday. Make sure you follow club directions and don’t arrive before 1pm, otherwise you’ll block the lane!

Great Site
Thank you Wardens for a very quiet and peaceful stay on a lovely site. The Wardens are a credit to the Club in their attitude, friendliness and hard work in keeping the 100% A1 Well done
Great site
Plenty of space at this well looked after peaceful site. There is a pub in walking distance, for anything else a short drive. My only criticism is that the club internet coverage is very poor. Excellent value for money and we look forward to returning.
Good value for money
Stayed for 8 nights on this site. It is well kept with caring wardens. The site has views of the surrounding countryside with a large play field & the best dog walk we have seen on club sites. The pitches are well spaced out. Would definitely return again.
Superbly run site.
The wardens looked after us all year, from helping with our awning, to helping me when I stupidly didn’t check that the van was secured on the tow bar….twice… I know.. drivers responsibility 🤫 There are the basics here for caravans an motohomes. If you want an on site loo and shower, go b&b instead. Location is great. We love it

Ilfracombe Cub Site 🤗
We’ve just spent our first time here and it will certainly not be the last ! It’s a superb site for both Caravans and Motorhomes. Close to Ilfracombe itself, which is a clean and pleasant experience, with lovely walks and different places to eat. The Site itself is very well laid out and maintained by the Wardens , who are dedicated and a credit to themselves and the Club. Perhaps the lack of a toilet block facility might put some people off, the choice is yours! It was the end of season for some but still lots to go and do as the site is so well situated and we enjoyed lovely Autumnal weather. Humans and Dogs are all welcome as long as they behave !
Love this site
We have stayed at this site a few times now and will keep coming back because it is exactly the type of site we like. It is really quiet and because it has no facilities it doesn't seem to get too busy or noisy, even when it is quite full. It is nice and close to some fantastic beaches and the coastal path, so there is always some good walks to be had. The only downside for us motorhomers is there is a manhole for emptying waste water rather than a grid (which is much more back-friendly!) but I understand the Club will be changing the man holes to grid at some point. All in all I fully recommend this site.

Great Site
We have been members of the Club for 40years and visited this site for 30years.We have a caravan with facilities which we like to use for hygiene So I can't get my head around people saying that this site shouldn't be classed as a club site These people should read the details before booking and go elsewhere Apart from this its a great site which as been vastly improved by these wardens Their hardwork as been wonderful turning this site around If you visit book Sunday lunch at the Crown in the village its excellent. All I can say if booking the site please read the details before booking
A most welcoming stay
After reading some of the reviews I was a little worried, but we had a lovely welcome from the wardens on duty.
The site is quiet and peaceful and a great place to relax.
We were in a camper van so showers and toilets would be a great improvement for this site, we brought our own toilet etc but a shower would be good.
We cycled from Braunton to Barnstaple on the Tarka trail, it’s a lovely flat route.
The shop in the nearby village is good and about a mile away, the walk back is uphill but not a problem if you are used to walking.
