Excellent

First night with new motorhome, heading north back home, really friendly staff, great location just of M6, nice big pitches in the trees and excellent facilities next to the river. Kids loved their 1st night. Cannot praise the staff enough for their helpfulness and there were Fish & Chips available on Friday evening at the reception late arrivals point! We will be back :-)

Wonderful weekend!!

Lovely warm welcome as always from the Warden team at Kendal , we pitched in an area that we haven't used before and it was really good , close to the dog walk and the superb facilities . Great weather for the bank holiday weekend so managed to go out visiting places every day , we even fitted in a pub lunch at the Strickland arms ! Try the fish and chips on Friday night they are yummy and save on the cooking ! Five star facilities , clean as a whistle our favourite site by far !!

Kendal Mint

Wonderful setting with very easy access from motorway system - mixture of woodland and very pretty river  - facilities very good although numerically not on par with some sites considering number of pitches - all staff very helpful and friendly and welcoming - lower pitches flat - upper pitches less so and some quite challenging in terms of access and getting caravan level - steel pegs a must - lots to do and see in vicinity - plenty of good walks - national trust properties - RSPB reserve not far away - excellent local hostelry for food and drink - superb local farm shop/cafe restaurant - all in all an excellent location and will definitely be going back

Pleasant stay at Kendal CC Site.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. All facilities are well kept and clean. Unfortunately we picked a pitch which was in the shadow of large trees. The site location is quite close to the M6, which was convenient for us. G.D.V.

1st visit - not last

1st visit to this site - we've used Meathop, etc. in past but seemed to have missed Kendal until now - very friendly welcome by the wardens, an intriguing site with lots of smallish clearings for the pitches - never felt too busy even though it was bank holiday weekend. Lovely walks around the site - would think it close to dog heaven - certainly returning in future.

Friendly fantastic wardens

On arrival found that pitches were tight for a twin axle unit without a mover. As am a lady driver I found it impossible to pitch up to my rescue a fantastic warden to which I don't no his name gave me a quick lesson on how to reverse my unit onto our pitch and stayed with me till I achieved this.A big thank you to him.Only down side is kids playarea could do with being updated. Overall fantastic bank holiday weekend

Brilliant holiday base. Spotless, Wardens so helpful.

Spent a week here in June and returning this week for a longer time. One of best sites ever! Love the woodland, spacious, peaceful. Wardensvery helpful. Great to walk from site to farm shop for brunch. Many other walks from site. Birds every where. Easy base to explore Pennines, Lancashire, Morecambe bay.Facilities spotless. No kids with us so can't comment on family view. Loved it!

A Lovely peaceful site

This was our first visit to this site and certainly won't be the last the wardens were very helpful and very friendly we loved how private the pitch s were the shower blocks were spotless even with the amount of rain we'd had if it was possible to "criticise " the site it would be that the play area could do with up dating just a few more things ie slide, swings, but that apart we really enjoyed our three nights there and will hopefully be back before winter

Peaceful

This is one of our favourite sites. We try and stay here as often as we can. We love it all year round. The site is set in lovely woodland enclaves. If you have a satellite dish you need to pick your spot as the reception isn't good.  The river is close by and easily accessible for children to play or the dogs to swim etc. the local pub is dog friendly too and the meals are really very good. Sizbrugh Farm is close by too and worth a visit to watch the cows being milked. The farm shop does some lovely cheese , bread etc . A little pricey but that's to be expected. A really great site and a good location.
