Long lead site

This was our second visit to longeat the wardens were very friendly the site is ideally located next to the safari park waking up to the s e a lions calling and the big cats roaring the festival of lights were absolutely brilliant better than last year definitely back next year.

Great Site

Booked this site to visit the "Festival of Lights" at the Safari Park. Its next door to the park and so easy to walk in. The site itelf is clean and tidy and the wardens are fantastic, so helpful. See you you again soon

See the Light!

Visited to witness the annual Festival of Light event. Even better than last year with all the magic and wonder this event generates for kids and adults alike. Our stay at the site was most enjoyable with all the facilities being available. Will continue to visit and enjoy both the site and Longleat.

Better than sitting in Traffic

Whenever there is an event on at Longleat Safari Park the traffic is terrible so we chose to stay here the night before and after This year’s Festival of Light, perfect! This is a great site with helpful wardens, facilities are always kept clean and the pitches are a good size, level and the whole site is well maintained. We will definitely be coming back - several times!

Perfect for Animal Lovers

This site is so close to Longleat, you can hear the sea-lions in the lake! Walk out of the gate and within a couple of minutes you are in Longleat Safari Park. We have stayed here a number of times, always with spotless facilities and superb staff who always go that extra yard. The electric posts have a connection for digital tv as well as power, the only downside is the mobile phone signal is poor , saying that, we have a signal booster for our own mobile broadband and could happily stream netflix for those 'wet' days. Loads to visit in the area too.

Not Just for Kids

We had been to Longleat for a long weekend some 6years ago, primarily to meet with another part of the family who were using the site with their kids,but when we were busy scanning the sites to find the venue for this year's Autumn break we decided to perhaps give it another go - even though we were kidless for this trip just 3 adults and one hyper spaniel. What a good decision, the site had far more to offer than we remembered. Lovely autumn setting with the mature trees all around the site leading to an ambundance of squirrels and the occasional hoot of owls competing with the lion roars at night. Yes it is a little frustrating to find you can't walk into the grounds of the house when it is so close, but there are a number of walks available from the site utilising the numerous bridle paths and quiet lanes. Stourhead is an obvious draw within a 30/40 min drive and doesn't disappoint with a number of walks available without having to pay to go into the gardens. Bradford upon Avon another lovely spot within easy reach. A minor irritation was the seasonal closure of one of the loo blocks and then having to queue for a shower. And it is a site where timing of arrival and departure is key with a narrow lane immediately off the main road. Surprised arrivals aren't restricted to 1300 to prevent any meeting of outfits leaving close to 1200. But a great, muddy and sometimes wet Autumn break. We'll be back!

Great site

Second time we have visited this site both times we have had a great stay we are now looking at booking a third stay to see the lights. Provides easy access to Longleat .

Superb site.

We visited this site in May 2019. We came to visit Longleat Park and house. The whole site was spotlessly clean. The wardens were possibly the most helpful wardens I’ve ever met. They helped us with taxis to a nearby pub and were brilliant on arrival. They kept a surprise from my wife while we checked in as she didn’t know we were meeting friends. We heard the sea lions and the lions in the evening. The site and the Safari Park are so good we’re returning in a weeks time with different friends.

Regular Pass Holder

Wonderful site and facilitates that provides easy access to all that is Longleat. Regular and annual events are within a gentle short walk from the site which is ideally located to support whole family entertainment. All the site facilities are very good with cleanliness being the order of the day. Will continue to visit for many years to come!

Great experience at the Safari Park

We went to this site specifically to visit the Safari Park and it didn't disappoint. We should have booked our tickets in advance through the Club Website, but I missed this point and had to book it the night before through my phone. This wasn't easy as the phone signal is quite poor there. It's a very simple walk from the site to the Safari with no need to take your car. You can take the Bus Trip around the park, which only costs £5 per person with excellent commentary from the driver. The damage done to the cars by the monkeys was quite shocking but great fun to watch from the safety of the bus. The site facilities are very clean and the wardens work hard to achieve this - although they could be a bit more friendly as they go about their daily tasks. National Trust is well represented in this area. I would recommend Stourhead which is beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the surrounding towns. You are unlikely to go hungry. We would have no problem in recommending this site to our friends.
