Quiet site

Great site, very handy for high St in Melrose . As we are not extreme walkers, the site was really lost on my wife and I . When travelling to the other local towns I was surprised that they were not as big as I expected, but don't let that put you off this site as I cannot recommend it enough ,if you are into walks and history

Great Site!

Having been a member for some years now and stayed on many club sites, this site is rapidly becoming one of my favourites! The wardens are really helpful. The location offers a quaint and vibrant town on the doorstep. We have a dog - if you enjoy walking, there are many interesting walks to choose from. There are are number of other towns and visitor attractions within a half hour drive. We've stayed at Gibson Park at least four times now, and the standards are consistent in every respect. Thanks for another great stay!

Great time in February!

I am fairly new to the Caravan Club but really enjoyed my stay at this site. The staff were very helpful when asked for any advice and the facilities maintained to a high standard. If you go remember to take a TV hook up as the transmission is poor in this area. Thanks for a great time and we will be back again!

Good for winter weekend away

It's a god site very friendly and small not too far from the Central belt for a weekend away and the great bonus is it's open in the winter, there are so few relatively near us for a weekend / one night away.

A Wee Gem!

We love this site.  Maggie & Richard work really hard and are so friendly.  It is always spotless, ideally located - nothing to complain about.  However, we were there over Christmas and New Year and the travelling fair set up right next to the site!  The noise was horrendous and went on for a few days, so would not book over Christmas period again because of this, which is a shame.

Really handy for Melrose & great walking nearby

Our first stay here and we will return!  The site is really handy for Melrose, being at the bottom of the main street, but nicely tucked away.  Melrose has great restaurants and the walking is fabulous.  There are level strolls and great hill walking for the more adventurous. The showers and toilets are really clean.

Winter break

What a lovely site Melrose is. The campsite is very easy to find. The campsite is right next to melrose. There is a butchers which does gluten free food. There is plenty of lovel walks to do too. The facilities are very clean and the site is always tidy. The wardens are very nice too. highly recomend this site.

Xmas Break

My Wife and I normally holiday abroad during this period, (a cruise). This is our first year in the caravan and we decided we would make the most of it, so before we decided to put it to bed for the winter and the weather being good we decided to venture to Melrose for six nights over Xmas. The site was easy accessible and the reception was first class, cheerful and helpful. We received a mince pie and a cup of Mulled wine. The sight was very clean and well spaced out. The toilet block was always spotless as was the cleaning area. Melrose is a very friendly town and we found it a great place to venture out to places like Edinburgh, the Park and Ride in Edinburgh is brilliant and regular. The site had no kids on it which made our time there nice and peaceful. I would have no hesitation in returning to the site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
