Great Site.

One of our favourite sites.Very difficult to find any fault with this lovely site. Top quality as always with a Caravan Club Site with first class wardens.

AUG 2015 Holiday

We had the pleasure of staying at this site this year and will definitely return hopefully next year. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to see you. The site was kept very clean and tidy. There is a great park for the kids separate dog exercise area and a well stocked shop. Fish and chips on site was lovely. The site is very quite a well away from the main road so safe for the kids too. A good choice of grass and hard standing also.

August 2015

Not a lot more to add to this great site. Liked the idea of the reasonably stocked shop in reception more isolated sites should take this on board. Lovely friendly welcome from the lady warden and the rest of the team went about their business in a quiet and unobtrusive manner. We were lucky got a good view of the Red Arrows display at Falmouth and they flew right over the site at low level. Agree with the comment about kids on bikes and the one way system we were on a corner pitch and saw a number of near misses you can make excuses for young kids but were astounded to see a male adult on his bike with his two kids behind do two laps round our section of the site against the one way system. Would put this site up amongst the top five of sites we have been to

Lovely site

The lady warden is super helpful and very very nice, the site is great for kids, the shower blocks are ok although they could do with updating, the fish and chip van comes round 3 times a week which is very handy and the traffic light on the narrow lane is a brilliant idea, we will definitely go back.

Good place for family holiday

Merrose Farm is kept to the usual high standards of CC sites, plus a big field to play in and a great play area.  The wardens seemed nice - they kept a low profile (which was fine). The shop is well-stocked, and the information booth has what you need plus DVDs to rent.  The DVDs were handy because, know this: if you go to Cornwall you might get alot of rain.  I wonder whether more hardstanding would be appropriate, because our grass was sodden.  The weather reflected the proximity to the Atlantic, so it changed fast and was often wet.  But the Roseland is quiet, even during busy season (there were open pitches in August!), and plenty of beaches and villages.  The views out to sea and to Falmouth were brilliant. We won't hesitate to come back, but next time we'll be ready for wet days.

8 Nights in August

We have stayed here once before but this was in June when the children were still at school. We thought the site was very busy and the showers and toilets where stretched to capacity. We felt sorry for the wardens as some mornings the toilets and showers left a lot to be desired. The site could do with a refurbishment to the toilet and shower block some time in the future. Other than that great location.

Ideal site for exploring Roseland Peninsula

Good site for accessing all the wonderful beaches and countryside in this part of Cornwall. Staff very helpful and on site shop excellent. Lots of large trees separating pitches and therefore giving privacy. Could do with a few more showers and toilets (but we did stay there in August when full).

Great stay - we will return

Our family had a super stay; we had a large hardstanding pitch and the site has an excellent children's play area - the best I've seen on any club site. Lots to do in the area, but we didn't feel safe to use our bikes on the local roads. The traffic light entry/exit system worked very well and I'd like to see these used at more sites with difficult access. Toilet facilities are spotless with radio 2 quietly in the background, which was a godsend when using the washing machine after the little one had an accident! Great site and we will be back

Fab stay

Super site in a beautiful location. Well looked after and a real credit to all the staff there. Friendly and helpful throughout. The traffic lights system is great as its a narrow lane on approach. Would definitely  return.

Lovely site!

The best Caravan Club site we have stayed on so far. We chose the site for its location as we are working our way along the SW coast path. The wardens and other campers were very friendly, and the facilities were immaculately kept- even the dog exercise area. The traffic lights on the approach lane took a lot of stress out of arrivals and departures both with and without a 'van on the back. Nice touches included a herb garden at reception for all to use. A very quiet site, despite its size.  We would thoroughly recommend this site!
