A little disappointing

This was the 6th site we stayed at during our 2 week touring holiday. Location, site layout and cleanliness of toilet block very good. Unfortunately the Wifi connection was practically non existent, the shop was poorly stocked and we suffered 24hours of the most awful smell from the drains opposite our pitch. The member of staff notified about the drains was unhelpful. We will not visit again

A Week at Putts Corner

Lovely clean site clean toilet block and lovely area even though the weather wasn't at its best. WiFi was very hit and miss and not to be relied on:-(. I know that you have be careful about water temperature in wash area but its certainly is not extremely Hot.

Join family for a break

Debbie and Keith were perfect hosts with everything sorted on arrival and throughout our stay. We joined one half of our family for a short break who have stayed at Putts Corner for the past 4 years and i can now see why they go back. We arrived late but the late arrivals area is spot on with hookup and toilet block across the way which is spotless.  This is the first site i have visited which the site wardens took the time to come and say goodbye which means a lot to me. Also Keith has taken time to encourage Alfie in fishing rather than a games console which is in this day and age is a rare gift, thank you. The site is spotless and although busy was quiet, well managed and in a good location for discovering East Devon / West Dorset. Thank you for a lovely stay. Ian and Janet

Excellent site

Large site but well screened with trees and hedges so that everyone is in their "own little site". Wardens very friendly and helpful. Very clean facilities, wi-fi rather poor and difficult to get a usable connection.

August 2015

This has to be one of our favourite sites. Close enough to shops, beautiful clean beaches and activities for children. The wardens are so helpful and friendly. We have visited this site 4 times now over 3 years and will be returning. There is one negative to this site and that is the Wifi is very poor but that is the only drawback. Well done to all the wardens, you do a sterling job and I hope this review is passed on to you all.

Surprisingly quiet

What a lovely stay we have just returned from. Small site but quite a few families, the children congregated in the play ground, all ages, and played very well together. Never had to que for showers. Clean facilities. Great location for Escot, Diggerland, Bicton and pretty local villages of Beer and Branscombe. Site wardens very friendly and encouraged our little boy, Archie, to wave whenever he saw them around...he thought he was very special. We were fortunate to have very good 'neighbours' on site. All in all a great holiday.

Love this site

Our second time here and it wont be our last. Debbie & Keith the wardens are a credit to this site there both lovely and do a great job.  New shower block is lovely. Lovely forest like site peaceful at times but around the play area can be noisy at times so pick your pitch with this in mind. I think when they did the refurb they should have put 2 paths to the play area this would have been better than walking on someone's pitch to get to play area.  If you have children then Pecorama in Beer is a must a full day out in a beautiful village.  Sidmouth is a lovely day out and taste cafe is a must for an ice cream and there huge. The butchers in sidmouth by toymaster the food for BBQ is amazing.  There's a tesco in honiton and seaton & a sainsburys in Ottery St Mary, there's also a wait rose not to far away.  There is a bus service on main rd and you have to walk through the site but you just stand on the grass and it's a bit hit and miss and a bit up-reliable. As you stand on grass on main rd if you have kids can be quite daunting. Last year we waited 45 mins because they were running late.    Sandy bay at exmouth is a lovely sandy beach. We only stayed a week and that wasn't enough time for us to visit everywhere we wanted to go.

Love this site we will be back next year for longer.

Putts Hole in One

What a little gem of a site. Attended a wedding in Ottery St Mary which is 10 minutes away so this was a perfect location. The site is in pristine condition which is a credit to all wardens concerned. Hare and Hounds public house is a short walk up a hill. Short drive from Sidmouth. Definately worth a visit.

Lovely site

This was our first time at Putts Corner. The pitches are a little close together but well maintained. There is definitely road noise but not overly intrusive. The on site dog walk is sufficient for a short walk as is the wooded walk just opposite the entrance. There are lots of other good walks from the site. The hare and hounds pub is a 4 minute walk through the woods. The food there was very good albeit a little expensive.   The wardens are all very friendly. The fish and chip nights are very good and most enjoyable. The toilet blocks are very good especially the newest one. The water pressure in the older block is not so good. All in all this is a good site and ideal for those with doggies.
