A week in Yorkshire
Recent stay of 7 days. Very lucky to have nice weather to explore. This site is located well to travel down into the Dales and also if you don,t mind the drive even over to the lake district for different day out or just stay local.
Arriving at the site take care to know where to turn off the busy A66 dual carriageway as the site is not signposted. Its location is very close to this busy road so if you like peace and quiet then get as far down the site as you can, the view is great from nearly all pitches of the countryside.
Usual caravan club facilities are kept very well and the present wardens are clearly proud to keep everything tidy, nice flowers etc. Lots of wildlife in particular many birds can be seen.
Lots of choices of either local shops in Richmond a few miles away or larger shopping areas not too far at all.
In our experience don,t bother with internet access here through the caravan club as it was useless. The wardens did check all was working but we had no luck and are currently waiting a refund for the weeks access we paid for.
This is a well used site and seemingly for many just a stop over whilst moving from north to south but it really is worth staying longer to explore the area.
