Super Scarborough
Just back from our first visit to this site and we were both really impressed! The site was busy, but it didn't feel like it, being spacious, yet tranquil. Credit has to go to the whole warden team for their friendliness and their hard work, keeping the site in such lovely condition, as well as the spotless facilities blocks. Thank you wardens.
A good selection of pitches, hardstanding, serviced, grass - something to suit everyone's taste.
There is a great dog exercise field where the pooches can run freely. This is adjacent to a huge playing field with a brand new play-area, which the kids will absolutely love - it's brilliant! There's also an indoor area too, should the weather become inclement, as well as another smaller play area further up the site.
A 5 minute walk brings you to the villages of East (across the river) and West Ayton, where buses run frequently into Scarborough and surrounding areas. There's a couple of pubs, a Spar shop and a really excellent fish restaurant (Walkers) The site also has a visiting Fish & Chip van (on a Friday) which is good.
All in all, a beautiful site, in a beautiful area, worthy of 5 stars.
