First visit

Our first visit to this site, probably won't be the last. Lovely welcome from friendly and helpful wardens...there are some that could take a lesson or two from these! Usual excellent CC site facilities. I had to give it 4 stars for "Good for families", the children's play area looked fine though thankfully it was empty during our stay!  Lovely walk straight out the site into Sandringham Park and up to the visitor centre etc.   As I said I'm sure we'll be back but probably "out of season" again. Everything still has to be lined up like little soldiers though.......come on CC, lighten up! Depending on the layout of your van/Motorhome it may be preferable to drive on to your pitch instead of reversing on .....and, dare I say it, setting up sideways on.  Does it really make a ha'p'orth of difference?

Exploring the Royal estate

We loved the site with its rural setting amongst the forest of Shandrinhan. The hard standing sites were level and well spaced out. As the site is in the confines of the Royal estate it is a real pleasure to be able to walk into such an emence area with such diversity of fawned and flora. It was also great to be able to walk right to the Visitors centre and enjoy a hot meal and a beer without the need for driving.  The facilities on site were very clean and up to the best of the club standards although as it was January the site was no where near capacity. We enjoyed watching the birds, rabbits and squirrels which were always around on site. The site is very well suited for nearby beaches and National Trust properties so I would recommend it for anything from a weekend to full summer holiday stay.

We'll be back...

Our first visit here and it won't be our last. Lovely site, warm welcome and great facilities.  Would have been 5 stars across the board except for the location next to the road and the (slight) noise that can come from there.  One piece of advice for those going up to the Visitor Centre - leave early if you are walking - there's a lot to fit in if you are visiting Sandringham House/Garden/Museum as well.  We didn't and will be back to do this next time.  Mind you the walks around the estate were fantastic in themselves.

Excellent Site

Recently returned from our first visit to this site and have just booked another stay for nine days early February. Excellent site for us (two adults + two terriers) - can't really add to that !

A great stay

We thought initially that the site was full as the CC website shows no pitches available but this is misleading (CC you need to look at this). The site was, however, virtually empty so we had a choice of pitches. The pitches were well spaced - not all CC sites are like this - so we enjoyed peace and quiet throughout our stay. The facilities were excellent and clean, the staff helpful and the location was excellent for touring Norfolk. Will we come back? Oh yes!!

Winter Break

Have just returned from five nights at Sandringham, our first stay on this site with our two dogs. We found it to be absolutely perfect as a base to walk from and also explore the NW Coast of Norfolk. The facilities were first class, complemented by the extremely friendly and helpful Wardens. We were mindful of the warnings about seasonal canine illness but nobody seems to agree on an actual cause and it appears we were out of the high risk period. The proximity to Sandringham house meant we were lucky enough to see the Queen & Prince Philip at the Church even though we couldn't actually visit the house. Would recommend the site without hesitation as a winter touring destination.

Great for walks and dogs

Our 2nd New Year here and we really love it. They have a small free party on the night which helps to get us to stay up late despite the freezing weather! We had battery problems whilst on site and we got lots of help and even managed to get to a nearby garage for repair on staff's recommendation. Walks are great as is the Sandringham visitor centre

An extension of Sandringham House

This is an excellent site and because the roads to the coast are excellent it works very well. Everything works as it should and the staff are very friendly. One suggestion. The shower curtains should be longer, to prevent the dressing area from getting soaked.

Lovely site

Spent 5 nights here between Christmas and New Year, lovely site with great walks and plenty to do and see. A big thank you to the wardens who made us feel welcome and provided nibbles and wine on New Year's Eve, very enjoyable talking to like minded campers! Have to say we did not witness any " speeding caravans".

FABULOUS RETREAT

Another brilliant stay at Sandringham. The site is exceptionally well kept and the Wardens extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of walking in the woods, surrounding villages delightful especially Castle Rising. The local Butcher at West Newton has meat from the Sandringham Estate which is delicious. We have also done 2 end of season stays on this site and loved every minute of them. Will definitely be back again and again and again.
