My favourite site of all time!

For me this site was perfect. Wonderful welcome & advice on what to do in the area. So well organised, VERY clean, fabulous facilities, quiet, out of town but 2 bus routes close for which we were given a free pass for the duration of our stay and it's easy cycling riding from the site to the lake. The swimming pool is lovely (smallish) with a lovely view. The laundry facilities are great and there is even a cooker for campers to use. I can't speak highly enough of this site.

A lovely site in a perfect location

The site is run by a lovely family. They are friendly and helpful. After a long drive you are warmly welcomed and, if your German is not up to much, you need not worry. The family speak excellent English. The caravan is pitched for you by Stephan and he even levels it up. The facilities are kept lovely and clean. As far as the location goes, it could not be better. The site has spectacular views of the Jungfrau region. The scenery is breathtaking. You are given a pass for the local bus to get you into Interlaken. We bought a local travel pass which was quite expensive but well worth it as it included many chairlifts and the local trains and boats. The trip up the Jungfrau was amazing. We took most of the food with us from home which left us able to spend our holiday budget getting around to see the area. Food is more expensive there. We have previously stayed at another site just down the road. Lazy Rancho is far superior and a site we will most certainly return to. The only problem with this stay is that it was not long enough... Oh well. All good things must come to an end.

Oh wow!

This was our second visit to Lazy Rancho and definitely won't be our last. There is just so much to do in the area and not all of it involves spending money; the scenery is outstanding and with many roads and tracks near the site having little if any traffic, we found cycling around and about (including into Interlaken) great - use the cycle store facilities at the train stations. We were also braver this time at walking in the mountains for example catching the cable car up to Murren and walking back to the car (signposting is excellent). The campsite owners can't do enough to help you and are great at helping you decide what to do and see in the area . Facilities are spotless. Yes Switzerland is expensive but if you stock up before crossing the boarder, eating at the campsite is amazing when you can munch and gaze at the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau! One word of warning - take some Swiss Francs with you as you have to pay tourist tax on arrival at the site and it has to be with cash.

Outstanding site

This site is excellent. We were welcomed at the entrance by the english speaking owner, taken into reception where his wife gave us every piece of information we could possibly need, including free bus travel in the Interlaken area, then escorted to our pitch. Our caravan was then pitched and levelled for us! Levelling blocks were supplied, as was the 2 pin adapter plug. The location is idyllic, and extremely quiet. All facilities are spotless and the entire site beautifully kept. The views are outstanding. Can't wait to return.

Good base camp

Excellent place to pitch if you want to explore the mountains, lakes or shops. Short walk away to the bus stop. The buses are free anywhere around the centre of Interlaken with tickets provided by the site. The site was spotlessly clean and had a beautiful view of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains. The hosts both spoke English and were very helpful. Our host gave us a European adapter for the electric hook up, not sure he has an endless supply so I would take one with you just in case. We found Switzerland very expensive but far to beautiful to miss!

Switzerland in June

Superb location and access to tourist attractions. Public transport impeccable and close by. Perfect location for some stunning sights. Camp owners extremely helpful and very friendly. Both spoke perfect English. The facilities were spotless and met all our requirements. If you are thinking of visiting Switzerland this has to be the site to use!!

Superb - going back as soon as we can

Superb park run by fantastic helpful people, incredibly clean with amazing facilities and views to die for. We just couldn't find anything to fault at Lazy Rancho. Easy walk into town or use a free local bus pass sorted by the site owners. Very good English for those of us not brave enough to speak the local language. We found loads to do, Switzerland can be expensive so take advice given by the site owners, they sorted some discount vouchers for some attraction and offered good advice about the passes available. Really pleased we have found Lazy Rancho.

A view worth waiting for

We had seven nights at this near perfect site in May - a bit early really - with only 3 or 4 other tourers. However for the first 3 days it rained, all day. Eventually we had views of the Jungfrau range, and it made it worthwhile. On our one good day we went up Stilthorn - suberb.  A super site, all facilities are first class, and Aline and Stephan are very helpful, and really look after the site. You can tell that they have been caravanners.

Heaven on Earth

We stayed at this wonderful campsite in Aug & Sept 2015 for 10 nights on a comfort pitch. The owner gave us a warm welcome & a choice of two pitches. We had an amazing view from our pitch of the snow capped Eiger, Monk & Jungfrau plus mountains all around. It was breath taking. The site was immaculate. All the showers, toilets etc. were superb. Extra facilities included use of a kitchen with oven and another room for reading, wifi & general use. We used the lovely swimming pool every day which was cold but welcome as it became so unexpectedly hot 35-37 degrees! Views of the mountains could also be enjoyed from the pool. The campsite had a good little shop where we ordered bread etc. daily. After much research, we opted for the Bernese Oberland Regional Pass (a pass is essential to save money when travelling around). We got a 6 day pass which cost approx. £230 each but was well worth it. It covered all travel including the Jungfraujoch which is a must do activity. Cable car journeys (Grindleward was amazing), boat trips on Lake Thun & Brienz plus funiculars & too many other perks to mention. The campsite issue you with lots of info & a free bus pass. The bus & all other transport were a joy, clean, on time, quaint, connecting. The bus stop was approx. 6 min walk on the flat from campsite & took us to railway stations, boat trip starting points and many other places. The campsite owners & staff were so friendly & accommodating. There was a little noise from the local traffic & shooting range but it paled into insignificance when you took in the view. There was a very good restaurant at the local golf club about 20 minutes walk away. It was definitely one of the best campsites we have stayed in and we would like to return to.
