Why stay here ...

Just south of Bergerac and close to the famous Monbazillac vineyards, Pomport Beach is a site that wine lovers and families alike can enjoy. It has a private lake for bathing and fishing, and easy access to the Wine Route, where visitors can wander the vineyards. Peaceful in low season, high season is more lively, with organised children’s entertainment, mini-golf and tennis all available.

The pitches are of a good size and separated by hedges and young trees, and the facilities are well maintained. Fresh bread and croissants can be ordered each day for the following morning.

The village of Sigoules is 1.5 km away and has a gourmet night market every Friday in summer, while Bergerac, with its medieval centre and attractive squares is 10 minutes’ drive. Several châteaux are also close by, including Château de Monbazillac, a 16th century castle with a fairy tale feel and its famous impressive vineyards.

Good family site, lovely location

Pomport Beach
Good site with lovely lake and swimming pools. Shower blocks are a bit tired and its very annoying that they don't supply toilet roll or soap and there are no hand or hairdryers. I think a site of this quality should have these. There is no shop on site either which is a shame as the sight is 2 miles from the nearest town Sigoules. You can order bread and crossants which you order the night before, they charge you 3 euros for a bottle of water though!! Site is based deep in the country about 6 miles from Bergerac, the surrounding area is very hilly and roads are busy so not best for cycling. Lovely location just be prepared when you arrive there and you will be ok.

Loved this site

Pomport Beach
Loved this site, generous size pitches, two wc/shower blocks well maintained. Lovely beach to sunbath and lake to swim in as well as pool.  Friendly staff very helpful. Next to village which has a great supermarket, bars etc.  Lucky when we were there one evening there was a food market, lots of choice and join everyone and eat at the long tables provided, with music entertainment too.  Just a few miles to Burgerac which we cycled to without any problems.  Well worth a visit (plenty of parking too). Lots of cafes bars and shops to browse round.  Local chateau to not too far to visit where we stocked up on a couple of bottles of their wine.  Would defiantly recommend this site.
