We had very low expectations arriving here due to poor reviews. However we couldn't fault the site. Clean, well managed. Not too busy when we were there in late September. Though it did fill up more at the week-end. We extended our stay by 5 nights. The thing that made our stay there so special was the region around the site including Pals and the small coastal vilages like Sa Tuna. There is also a good beach at Playa de Pals. There was a very good supermarket (Jodofi) in Masos de Pals with a very good range of products and a fish shop and bakery (owned by supermarket) right next door.
We had breakfast a couple of times in "La Vila" in Pals and would recommend it. Also a walk round the historic centre of Pals is a must. We ate several times in a restaurant in San Feliu de Boada called "Can Joan". Super menú diario (menú del día) for 17 Euros, which included 3 courses and a carafe of wine and an bottle of water. The wine was very decent. The restaurant was busy with local spanish trade and some tourists. Super Catalan cuisine. Really very good value. We arrived first time a bit late at 15:10 and were welcomed, no problem.
Disappointing site

This site did not live up to our expectations at all. Although we stayed at the end of February the site had quite a lot of regular visitors staying over the weekend in their based caravans and yet the restaurant, cafe, onsite supermarket and pool were closed. There was nowhere nearby to walk our dog without having to go out onto a busy main road. The nearest beach was 10km away and no walks on the doorstep. Also the 6 amp electricity tripped and the staff did not seem to be very helpful upon our arrival.
This site would suit young families during the season when it is fully open otherwise it is only good for a 1 night stay to use the facilities when travelling north or south.
