Why stay here ...

Hendrifton Farm is located about a quarter of a mile along the no-through road that leads to Siblyback Lake, about 3 miles from Liskeard and on the edge of Bodmin Moor (With its internationally recognised Dark Skies). You will receive a warm welcome from David and Suzanne, and, if you like dogs, then Bob and Reka will be pleased to meet you too!

We offer a relaxing, peaceful site, we're on hand if you need us and we love to stop and chat! We grow our own fruit and vegetables and we share our produce with our guests. Suzanne makes scones, served with strawberry jam and clotted cream for guests staying with us for 10 nights or more and for all returning guests.

We provide an information folder with details of local walks, shops and supermarkets, places to eat, take-aways and local attractions.

A public footpath runs alongside a small stream at the edge of the meadow which adjoins the CL. There are lovely walks to Golitha Falls (where there are public toilets and Inkie's Barbecue Smokehouse Cafe, which is open all year, closed Mon/Tues), to Siblyback Lake (where there are public toilets and the Rockhopper Cafe which has seasonal opening), and towards Bodmin Moor and the village of Common Moor and Minions (with the Cheesewring Pub, Post Office and tea rooms). The bus towards Callington and Liskeard stops close to the top of the lane and buses run hourly or 2 hourly, Monday to Saturday.

Just 4 miles to the A38 and 8 miles to the A30, Hendrifton Farm offers a great location for exploring the whole of Cornwall; 30 minutes drive to Cornwall's south coast, under an hour to the North and West Coasts, 40 minutes to Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan and 25 minutes to Lanhydrock.

You are welcome to phone or email us. You can also find Hendrifton Farm on Facebook or take a look at our Website.

Our favourite CL

Hendrifton Farm
We love this site having been here twice this year and six times in total. David and Suzanne are wonderful hosts. The site is lovely with electric, toilet and shower. Fresh bread can be ordered. Local farm shop nearby. Great location for Bodmin, north and south coast. Wonderful view from sìte. Great run or walk around Siblyback reservoir from sìte. Already booked next year just in case it was full due to being so lovely. Access with caravan is fine. Best approach with caravan is from A38 rather than A30. Enjoy!

Singing in the rain !

Hendrifton Farm
This CL has to be in that top category ! Warmth of welcome and the very tranquil & picturesque location make it a very attractive place to be. On the southern rim of Bodmin Moor there's walking a plenty - with Siblyback close by with its 2km lakeshore path for walkers/cyclists/runners, the walk from Minions village to the Cheesewring granite tor, and the slightly precarious (rather wet/muddy during our stay) walk to Golitha Falls. Lots further afield, on the coast and inland in almost every direction, and local pubs & restaurants to explore too. All of this is detailed in an information pack when you arrive, courtesy of model hosts Suzanne & David Shepperson who will do all they can to make your stay enjoyable, being attentive without intruding. There's home made bread, and a farm shop within walking distance for fruit, veg, milk & eggs. In terms of the CL itself, final approach through St Cleer village does have some narrow points - but the traffic level is mostly very light, and access into the site is clearly marked. The pitching area is set by the electric sockets around the perimeter, some pitches being more level and some less so (we needed levelling blocks) but everyone has an unobstructed distance view. Grass was kept short, and really well drained (glad to report !). Facilities (2 loos and a hot shower) very clean and not heavily used during our stay. Fresh water tap located at the side of the loo block, and disposal point well laid out behind the loos. Recycling all clearly labelled near the site entrance. It is a very tranquil & unspoilt location ! We did have some sun during early July - but we also had quite a bit of rain, though the ground was very free draining, thankfully. A place to return to again ................ thanks to Suzanne and David !

Great To Be Here Again

Hendrifton Farm
This is our second visit to Hendrifton Farm, and we have been here this time for the maximum permitted length of stay. We were here two years ago and had such a wonderful holiday, we readily booked for a longer stay this time. David and Suzanne, who own the C.L are lovely, kind, and genuinely friendly people who make everyone so very welcome, and are such an integral part of this tremendous C.L,.........They more than go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable and have everything you need on a C.L, (plus the fact that Suzanne's Baking is second to none, and her cream teas, crumpets, and sourdough breads are simply excellent !!!!) Their general knowledge of of Cornwall, as well as it's multitude of holiday attractions, is extensive and they are truly a mind of information when it comes to giving tips / advice whilst planning a day out across the county, (and in every direction too!!) Hendrifton is superbly situated to access all of the main areas of interest, as well as being an idyllic "peace haven" if a quiet day by the Caravan or Motor Home, looking out over the pretty wooded countryside is the order of the day. In addition to the lovely wild flower meadow, which is excellent for dog walking and is situated here on site, there are extensive walks to be enjoyed from the C.L, There are ample grocery shops within easy access, ranging from local speciality Farm Shops, through to the major multiples. Just to reiterate, Hendrifton Farm is a truly lovely place, and both my wife Jill and I thoroughly commend it to you for your Caravan / Motor Home holiday in the lovely county of Cornwall. Thank you so very much David and Suzanne for what has once more, been a truly lovely holiday at Hendrifton Farm. Tim and Jill Cramp Golcar, Huddersfield

Friendly , peaceful CL

Hendrifton Farm
We had a wonderful stay at Hendrifton CL with Suzanne & David. The site was very peaceful, with a wonderful selection of birds for company. With a farm shop just down the lane and a beautiful lake just a little further along where a tea or coffee can be purchased it made for the perfect place for walking. Suzanne very kindly provided a delicious cream tea which was very nice, she also had homemade marmalade which could be purchased much to the delight of my husband. We would very much recommend this site.

Hendrifton Farm
A lovely stay again at this fabulous site. Suzanne and David welcomed us with freshly made cream tea’s. Freshly baked bread was also offered us during our stay. Good walking from site with the dogs plus a lovely exercise area for them to play. This site is so accessible to so many lovely beach and country walks, we couldn’t ask for more. Thank you for our lovely stay.
