Why stay here ...

Tremarkyn CL is ideal for those seeking a restful holiday in a truly rural, peaceful, secluded situation. It can be reached from either the A30 or A38 by narrow but quiet roads. The site is located at an old farmstead with south facing views over the countryside. All pitches are screened with trees to give privacy, hook-up facility (16 amp rating) with views across closely mown grass, trees, shrubs and our flower garden. We have a small shower room with hand basin and toilet.

Tremarkyn is far from the tourist trail yet conveniently placed for the scenic coast, countryside and a base for interesting walks, fishing, painting, observations of many species of wild flowers and birds. St Neot village is half a mile away with a shop, pub and church with its famous stained glass windows. The two reservoirs, Colliford Lake (3 miles) offers fresh water fishing and Siblyback, (4 miles) is the place for fishing and water sports. Near Two Waters Foot (3 miles) is Trago Mills, a large out of town cut-price shopping centre. Closer to St Neot you will find Carnglaze Slate Caverns. Please email us for further information.

Please note - main centre gate entrance is 11 feet wide. Open from Easter if earlier than 1st April, otherwise from 1st April.

Beautiful.

Tremarkyn
This site is simply beautiful, and the owners Eric and Jill are exceptional hosts. As has been noted by other reviewers the roads into this site are tight (but then, it is Cornwall), and from the village, steep, which can make it interesting. I mention this only for information - don't be put off! Highly recommended.

Tranquility

Tremarkyn
Fabulous quiet, beautifully kept garden site. Jill and Eric are really lovely people. The London Inn do a good Sunday roast. Probably not ideal for larger units as the last 3 miles are quite narrow and the gates are tight. But this is a real gem for smaller units and if you want a peaceful place it's hard to beat.

A superb find

Tremarkyn
What a superb site. Eric and Jill were wonderful hosts. Will definitely return. Just returned from an 11 day holiday here and missing it already.

Five star site, fantastic owners

Tremarkyn
After Lockdown1 was lifted in 2020 we, like everyone else, were desperate to escape the confines of our home town and sought a 2 week holiday destination fairly near the seaside but that wouldn't be too busy. Tremarkyn completely ticked all the boxes. So much so, that at the end of our holiday in 2020 we immediately booked another 2 weeks in July 2021. We recommended the site to my parents who also visited last year and returned again this year. Around 8 miles from Looe and on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor, Tremarkyn Farm is ideally placed for visits to both the North and South Coasts of Cornwall, whilst affording visitors (adults only) complete peace and tranquility. Yes, the roads to the site are narrow, but that's only to be expected in Cornwall and its well worth the journey! Entering through the farm gates and driving down to the site has a very French feel to it...you could be driving up to a farmhouse in Brittany. The site itself is immaculate - beautifully landscaped and large pitches which are divided by trees to give a little privacy. There is a small toilet, basin and shower room which we did not make use of but were told is immaculately clean. Bins, including recycling, are discreetly hidden behind a hedge. Trago Mills is around three miles away and sells just about anything you need and is worth a visit. A number of supermarkets are within a short drive. The London Inn is less than a mile from the site and although we didn't eat there we did visit for a couple of drinks and sat in the small courtyard with our two dogs. On the last night we had a delicious meal delivered from Tapenades, a small restaurant in Liskeard which is used regularly by the site owners and came highly recommended...and we can wholeheartedly agree! The icing on the holiday cake are the owners, Eric and Jill. They are the perfect hosts which we quickly learned last year, and were a big factor in our return this year. Despite a very difficult year for them, they are still welcoming visitors with a smile. They are an incredibly interesting couple, very helpful and will happily recommend places to visit and give advice on the area. They are both an absolute pleasure to spend time with and we look forward to seeing them both again on our next visit.

what a great site

Tremarkyn
Found the site the site to be very clean with great views, and easy of access to north and south Cornwall. Getting to the site is challenging with narrow roads, and a narrow gate.
