Lovely valley views

Tencreek Farm
We stayed here in late Feb 2023. Being early in the season we had the site to ourselves. The owners were very helpful, both over the phone in advance and in person with local knowledge. They greeted us on arrival and advised us on where best to pitch, given the time of year. There is a slope on the site, which is easily corrected with a ramp and blocks. The site is not far off the A38, which is only audible with strong winds in the wrong direction. From the A38 the site is accessed down a narrow lane (for only 1/4 of a mile). The drive to the site is on a wide hardcore farm track. The facilities on the site were very good. EHU and shared water for aquaroll. The chemical disposal was one of the easiest we have used. Also the outdoor shower facilities were basic but serviceable, braved even at 4 degrees! There were lovely views over the valley below from the site and some pigs to provide some interest in a neighbouring field. There was a short walk across footpaths across their own fields to reach the outskirts of Liskeard, including a Morrisons, Costa, local tavern(attached to a premier Inn) and bus stop. We used this site as as base to walk the South West Coast Path from Mevagissey to Plymouth. Good access to Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Charlestown etc..

Beautiful, intimate site from which to explore the whole of Cornwall

Tencreek Farm
This is a lovely intimate site, in an excellent location, providing easy access to all the major routes in and out of Cornwall. It is also close to the thriving market town of Liskeard with the added convenience of all its amenities, restaurants and coffee shops. In my opinion Tencreek provides a great base to explore all that Cornwall has to offer and delivers an environment which is both relaxed and accessible. It certainly allowed me and my family to fully exploit this precious holiday time and create the new memories that pass through the generations. The site is small, family run and very welcoming. It is family and dog friendly and set in a natural bowl that offers panoramic views of the countryside and some wonderful night skies. Uniquely it is also peaceful and relaxing. I got a real sense from engaging with other members, that this is a well-kept secret, with many returning regularly over many years. I will definitely be doing the same. Clearly, I’m not very good at keeping secrets.

Peaceful spot

Tencreek Farm
The approach to the farm is a short single track stretch which has us praying that we wouldn't meet anyone coming the other way - luckily we didn't. The entrance to the farm is wide and the approach to the field is not too bad, you'll find manoeuvring around the field is easier if you have a 4x4 because it's on a bit of an incline. If you haven't got a 4x4 you can still get around ok with the caravan with some creative driving ( the guy next to us had an old 2-wheel drive BMW) and he managed. You set up the caravan (or motorhome, there was a few of them while we were there) facing down the slope and you should definitely leave the brake on and chock the wheels. We had to put some extra bricks under the corner stays to get it level and the fresh water drum had to sit on a tyre so that the pipe reached the bottom. Our only real complaint was that the grass on the field was too long, all our shoes got soaked from either dew or overnight rain which was a nuisance. Ok, complaints aside the location is great, there's a bit of noise from the A38 which is about 400 yds from the site but it's softened by the distance. A clear night is just dazzling, with almost no light pollution the sky is dazzling with a clear view of the Milky Way. There's a Morrissons just down the road along with a reasonable pub. All the popular tourist destinations are within close reach. A walk down the single track road is also pretty relaxing. The views from the caravan were of rolling green hills and not much else which was wonderful. A nice site with friendly owners.
