Why stay here ...

Tony, Helen and family welcome you to their Certificated Location based at Higher Treskillard Farm (not a working farm). The site is easily accessible from the A30 and ideally situated for all ages to explore Cornish towns, beaches and tourist attractions. We also have a fully equipped static caravan available if you're holidaying with non campers.

The nearest beach is Portreath, a 10 minute drive away, and the 3 miles of sands at Gwithian is just a 20 minute drive with both having areas that allow dogs. Access onto the Mineral Tramways Mining Heritage Trail is just a 5 minute walk down the lane from the site, great for dog walking and cycling.

The renowed Eden Project makes a lovely day out and the towns of Falmouth (Maritime Museum and boat rides), St Ives, Penzance, Perranport, Sennen, Lands End and very lively Newquay are also easy to reach. Stithians Water Sports Centre is a 20 minute drive, and the Heartlands Heritage Centre a mile away.

The nearest pub is less than a 5 minute drive, with meals and entertainment. Tesco Extra is the nearest supermarket 1 mile away.

There is a dog exercise area on site, and separate to the CL is a static holiday caravan.

Great site

Higher Treskillard Farm
Lovely and well kept site with great access to the west coast of Cornwall and its beaches and also easy to access the tip of Cornwall and its beautiful coves, fishing villages and activities. The site is kept very clean and grass mowed regularly with a good welcome sheet with all the relevant information for your stay. Toilet room kept very clean and tidy. Best of all was very easy access to the dog field for our dog Tommy. May not be the biggest field but plenty of room for him to run safely and happily. Quick walk down the lane to the Great Flat Lode trail which was picturesque with lots of old mining buildings adding interest to the walk. We did visit the local Countryman pub for a drink but didn’t stay to eat. It did appear to be more of a drinkers pub.

Lovely CL in the heart of Cornwall

Higher Treskillard Farm
We were welcomed on arrival by Helen and shown to our pitch, we were given number 5 because we had a dog and what an excellent pitch it was, right by the lovely dog walk, our own little garden seat and lots of space, in fact all the pitches were of a very good size, with hedging marking your pitch area, all flat hardstandings with grass for awning or just lazing. There is a toilet available on site, which was beautifully decorated and kept spotlessly clean, water, grey waste and chemical waste all with easy access. The site is in an excellent location for visiting the west of Cornwall, with some beautiful beaches within a 20 minute drive, Gwithian Towans is a fabulous beach with plenty of sand for everyone to enjoy, including dogs all year round, Portreath also close by, both great for surfing and plenty of cafes to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea. We cycled the Mineral Heritage trail, good for cyclist and walkers alike, access to the trail just a short distance from the site. Helen and Tony were always on hand, friendly and helpful, we will definitely be visiting them again, the site is a credit to them!

- Lovely CL to stay at -

Higher Treskillard Farm
NOT in the Site Directory as the CL only opened this year, I understand - and found purely by accident on the Club Website. Very pleased we DID find it, however, particularly as I'd done a lot of ringing around - to no avail - looking for a week away in many of the Cornish CL's. ALL the photographs shown, ALL DO the Site justice. A really lovely spot, well laid out pitches of hardstanding and grass, pleasantly peaceful with Countryside Views all round - AND a very comprehensive 'Welcome Pack' on arrival, which we thought was a very nice 'touch' to our stay. A Big 'Tesco' a short distance away, a pub along the Road (which we didn't try, but other Visitors were very complimentary about - and a 'handy spot' for the North or South Coast Resorts. A 'Top Notch' CL - and worth ALL the Five Stars!

Peace and quiet in Piece

Higher Treskillard Farm

We stayed here for 14 nights July/August 2021. Our friends were with us too on the next pitch. The site is lovely and clean, hard standings, well-spaced, excellent electric - never tripped unlike some sites, excellent TV and phone signal - unusual in Cornwall, water - Tony installed a 40m retractable hose whilst we were there so we could fill our barrel without moving it. Lovely friendly greeting with an information pack on arrival. Stunning toilet and sink washroom - spotlessly clean at all times. Great dog walk. Only the last 500 yards of the journey was “Cornwall tight” and we managed fine with our 8 foot van! Beautiful beaches nearby as well as supermarkets and takeaways etc. Would recommend a visit to nearby Trevaskis Farm but go hungry. The portion sizes are incredible. We felt this site was a gem of a find in high season Cornwall which was busier than ever this year due to the surge in UK holidaying. We have peace and quiet and everything we needed nearby. Highly recommended.

A wonderful 5 star CL.

Higher Treskillard Farm
We stayed here on Helen and Tony's wonderful CL from 2nd - 8th July 2021. It has only opened this year and is a credit to their time energy and money invested in this CL. It is a pleasure to stay with them, they are a friendly and weloming couple. nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Tony has added many personal touches to their site. One being for motorhomer's like us.His waste water system to empty waste tanks is just a pleasure to see and use. We home to go back again in the future. The are many good supermarkets and shops locally.
