Beautiful CL

Mill House
What a lovely peaceful, well maintained CL. Anne and Colin are fabulous hosts, inviting customers to sit around the fire pit and join them for a drink in the evenings, weather permitting, they are also around for morning coffee if you are up while they maintain the flower beds which are an array of colour. Anne and Colin are very accommodating, advising of places to visit in the area, then offering us a refund as we took our awning down early so that it was dry to take home, we obviously refused as it was our choice and I was surprised to here that some customers expect a refund. It's hard enough for these small businesses to survive and keep costs down. Will we return, Yes.

Absolutely Fabulous

Mill House
This site is a GEM. Quiet, picturesque with the benefit of superb hosts - Colin and Ann. The site manicured with a profusion of sweet peas and dahlias. Altogether a delicate tranquil haven. I always erect a bird feeder station, this time a neighbour did likewise; we were rewarded with dozens of sparrows - the babies fluttering to be fed were a delight - the woodpeckers (green and greater), nuthatch and marsh tit were only outshone in display by the Sparrow Hawk. We enjoy the wildlife of Dorset but this sight has its own hedgehogs - we fed them (hedgehog approved grub) every night with lovely photo and video on the trail camera. Typically British we tend to keep to ourselves but Colin and Ann are so convivial that their morning coffee chats and evening soirée around the fire pit are an absolute delight. The highlight of our last day were tractor drives around Colin’s adjacent field on his vintage Massey Ferguson. If you enjoy the tranquility of nature, the expertise of skilled hosts, the Dorset coast with the added bonus of the Dorset art scene - galleries in abundance but do visit Dansel gallery in Abbotsbury and Sladers in West Bay. For tranquility of therapeutic proportions a visit to the Walled Garden at Little Bredy is my prescription.

Truly unique

Mill House
Truly Unique. Just returned from a last minute booking at Mill House CL in Magnetron Bridport. What an absolute gem. If you like socialising with like minded people, great conversation and lots of laughs and a few wines, then look no further. Our hosts Anne and Colin were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. One evening Colin light the fire pit and everyone, people we have never met before, sat round, enjoying each others company. Some of us enjoyed a last night evening meal at the local pub “ Marquis of Lorne “ which was fantastic. The site is very well maintained, beautiful lawn and pitches separated by Dahlias and sweet peas growing up the side of the toilet building. Wonderful views and a peaceful location, coupled with the delightful Anne and Colin make this the perfect site for us. Thank you so much for a truly memorable stay, we will return. Ease of arrival/welcome

June 23;

Mill House

We booked this site as we were visiting friends nearby.It was nice to be able to phone and speak to the owners when booking. Anne was very nice and friendly on the phone, and I had a good feel about the site even before we arrived. The site is nicely laid out, and kept beautifully by the owners. We were greeted on our arrival by Anne and Colin, and after a chat, we set up. We were in a lovely spot under some trees( which was a bonus as it was very hot) . We had a lovely view of nearby hills,and the site itself is not far from Bridport, which is a nice walk along a country road. Anne and Colin are a lovely friendly couple, and ( although too hot at the time) light a fire pit in the evening for guests to gather around. ( should they want to).We did however sit with other guests and the owners on two evenings( and a bonus as two guests sang and played guitars). It is overall a lovely site, ( and a bonus WC ) We will definitely return( I slept like a baby!,) and I thoroughly recommend the site.😁 .

Truly friendly reception

Mill House
Colin Moore, the joint site owner with his wife, Anne, welcomed us onto the site in a very friendly and helpful manner. The site was very well maintained with beautiful dahlias all around the site. A very clean toilet facility. Easy access to nearby points of interest such as Mangerton Mill and tearooms. All round, this was a very pleasant experience enhanced by the friendliness of the Owners. Thank you!
