The best CL we have ever stayed on

Knightingales Touring Site
This is the best CL we have ever stayed on. You really cant ask for much more. The toilet facilities are like you would get in a 5 star hotel. There are 5 perfect pitches all with incredible views over the lake and across the countryside towards the sea. Lovely friendly and accommodating staff, nothing too much trouble. Worth every penny. we will definitely return.

Perfect CL

Knightingales Touring Site
We cannot sing the praises of this CL enough. If you enjoy peace and tranquillity, great facilities and an excellent location, this is for you. You will be so chilled out that you will have to make a real effort to go out and about and enjoy the area. The views over the lake and the Romney Marsh to the sea give a brilliant vista from you lovely individual pitch. Having your own private bathroom is superb, and worth paying for. You can leave all your wash kit towels bathmats etc in there, just like home. This is our second visit and we did manage to peel ourselves away for bike rides to the local village shops and pubs, as well as trips to Tenterden & Rye. We will be back!

A hidden gem, not to be overlooked

Knightingales Touring Site
I suspect many people will check out CL sites and skip past this one on price, at first glance it seems expensive. But wait! You skip past this on a search and you’re missing a real treat, stunning views, peace and tranquility, facilities that put some full sites to shame. When it says exclusive use of shower and toilet, this means it, literally each pitch has its own unit in the facilities block. No need for a portable loo and toilet tent, the furthest you are away from the facilities are 50 meters, so a short walk even during the night. You’re shower room toilet is no phone box either, more like a tardis, so much room and underfloor heating. The pitches are huge, we just had our camper as it was a short stay, but people had a car, caravan and day tent with room to spare. Each pitch overlooks the lake, you can watch the fishermen at your leisure, or you can just sit and admire the view. With the lovely town of Rye with its quaint streets and interesting shops close by, the small town of Tenterden and its steam railway, or if you just fancy a relaxing afternoon at the Chapel Down vineyard and restaurant, nothing is too far. Yes, it is a little more expensive than most CL sites, but you get far more than a main site and certainly more than you’re expecting. If you scroll past this one, it is definitely your loss. We will be going back.

Absolutely wonderful!

Knightingales Touring Site
We arrived to a beautifully kept driveway and lawns and a stunning view of the lake. The caravan pitches overlook the lake and stunning further views. When I saw our own private facilities I was gobsmacked, they're spotless and just for us during our stay. We had the most relaxing and peaceful time and we made to feel so welcome, dogs and all. We are already booking our next stay!
