We are spoilt for choice with the lovely traditional pubs in the area. The half-way house serves great food and only 1.6 miles from the park. The Star and The Poet are great pubs and have a lovely garden to enjoy only 1.8 miles away.

Paddock Wood is a 20-minute walk away or a 5-minute drive which has a large supermarket, a few shops and a few pubs. Simla Cuisine is a lovely Indian restaurant which is worth a try. Paddock Wood is an ideal base to travel around the local area. There is a fast train to London which only takes 45 minutes. Hastings beach and Camber Sands are only 30 miles away which are great days out.

There are also attractions such as The HopFarm (2.3 miles), Kent Life (9.9 miles) and Bedgebury Forest (6.9 miles) which are great days out there are animals, play areas and plenty to see. Orchard place farm fishing is only a few minutes' walk away with some great carp and catfish lakes. They are also open all year round.

Fantastic stay

Mile Oak
Laura greeted us on arrival with a lovely complementary gift of goodies . I have never had this on a site before and it was a lovely touch. Site was well maintained and plenty of space between each caravan. Each pitch is separated with a lovely fence giving plenty of room for awning and car. Jim came and checked that we had settled ok and to introduce himself. What a lovely couple and lovely site. Perfect for out and about and Paddock Wood is a 5 minute drive providing everything you need with a Tesco express and Waitrose and plenty of other little shops and takeaways and railway station. Had a fantastic week

The warmest of welcomes!

Generous hearted owners of a clean, well laid out and run site. Individual elec, water tap and grey water arrangement is a big bonus. Well spaced out plots and plans for continuing enhancement. A great location. Laura and James well deserve top scores all round for their new venture with this CL. Most appreciated.

Delightful little site

Mile Oak
We booked two nights here and must say very much enjoyed it. Lovely peaceful location , with just the birds tweeting to wake up to. Basic facilities with no wash or toilet on site , but chemical toilet disposal is available Laura and James , the owners, are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome indeed with a lovely basket of goodies to enjoy whilst there. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area again

Perfect

Mile Oak
Just returned from a 3 night stay and everything about Mile Oak is just perfect. From the initial enquiry about availability to the meet and greet with a welcome pack which was lovely, nothing seemed like too much trouble. Pitch sizes are good each one having its own electric and water supply. Very secure site with access via large wooden gates. Key fob given to you on arrival. It is a twenty minute walk to Paddock Wood train station which we did twice during our stay, catching the train to Maidstone and London. A Waitroise supermarket is next to the station. Laura and Jim are great hosts and we hope to return soon and explore more of the area.
