Why stay here ...

Only recently opened in May 2019, Moss Lane CL is a modern well equipped site that provides peace and tranquillity whenever you visit the Fylde countryside. It is situated next to the farm house and superb garden, and although it is a working farm there is only sporadic work taking place as there are only a few sheep and cattle present as most of the land is used for growing crops.

The site is perfectly level with hardstandings of 15m x 4m wide, with 16amp electric and water available on each pitch. Free WiFi is provided and the tv signal is excellent with no need for an aerial in most cases. There are toilet and shower facilities available in a purpose built area.

The views to the north and west are of the neighbouring farmland which is occupied by sheep. To the east is a splendid garden maintained by Lisa Walling and to the south a hedge provides privacy from the quiet public road of Moss Lane, which although is narrow in places, has plenty of passing places to enable easy access to the site.

Moss Lane is only 5 miles from Junction 32 of the M6 and 1 mile from the A6 and the village of Bilsborrow, and is ideally placed to explore the tourist attractions of the North West especially the Lake District, the Forest of Bowland and the seaside towns of the Fylde coast.

Closer to the site we are blessed with a large number of pubs and restaurants, with 4 pubs within 1 mile including the busy Guys & Owd Nells, and the quaint Plough at Eaves. There are several restaurants within 5 miles covering all tastes including Italian, Indian, Chinese and of course English. There are two takeaways in the two nearest villages of Bilsborrow and Barton.

There is a village shop and post office in Bilsborrow which can supply most peoples everyday needs, and a superb farm shop called Honeywells, both within 1 mile. The market town of Garstang is only 5 miles away and has a full range of shops including four supermarkets and a street market every Thursday.

Local attractions also include Barton Grange Garden Centre & Flower Bowl (2 miles) which has a cinema, curling ring, tenpin bowling, crazy golf & golf simulators along with two restaurants, Kopper Kettle antiques (2 miles) shop, 6 golf courses within 8 miles, course fishing (5 miles), Bowland Wild Boar Park (10 miles) along with lots of others too numerous to mention, but information is available on site for all the above and others.

We do not charge for any extras and have discounts for longer stays. Children are welcome.

We look forward to greeting you in the future and bookings can either be made by contacting us by phone or email.

Peace and tranquillity

Just spent 2 nights on this lovely little site. Can't fault anything about it really. Although we had the whole site to ourselves the peacefulness and lovely surroundings were just what we were looking for. The owners are very nice and friendly. And Andy the owner popped his head in for a chat and check all was ok which was nice. Everything you need is there for you. Lovely level hardstanding pitches. Brilliant tv signal and free WiFi. Toilet shower ..Thank you for an enjoyable stay on your farm. We shall deffinetly be back again 👍Russ n Max

Lovely site with great with a nice owner

This was our first CL site stay. We were a little apprehensive as we have 3 normally pretty boisterous kids who like to play outside. The site was really easy to find and very well laid out. It had rained a LOT when we arrived and the we were concerned about stepping out of the van onto the grass. Andy, the owner, was more than happy for us to pitch sideways so that we stepped out onto the gravel which helped a lot. This was despite the jockey wheel being on the grass. The toilet and shower are a short walk away around the other side of the farm house. Both toilet and shower were nice and clean although we did not actually sue the shower. The road leading to the facilites, although quiet, needs an adult or older child to walk the youngsters round to it. You also need a torch at night. Not a problem at all for us as we always carry torches with us. The location of the site made it easy to do a great 8 mile walk straight out of the gate. There is loads of great walking around. A great first CL experience!

Quiet few days.

Spent a quiet few days at this well tended CL. Excellent facilities even though the WC and shower are situated away from the actual site and within the owners residence, they are clean and modern with wheelchair access. Due to the low lying land there is no motorhome waste disposal but we didn’t find it a problem. The CL is close to a variety of things to do and we had a lovely walk on Beacon Fell and a visit to the Fairtrade town of Garstang and the award winning Barton Grange garden centre. As Moss Lane is only 15 miles from home we will probably make a return visit.

Hidden Gem - Peace and Quiet

Moss Lane CL will go down as one of the best CL sites we have stayed during our membership of the Caravan Club and will now be returning on a regular basis as the site is close enough for a short weekend and far enough in order to get way and unwind. Andy and Lisa are very good hosts and more than happy to assist and pass the time of day. Everything is perfect for a quiet peaceful weekend or week away, close to all local north attractions and local bub's within 1 mile walking distance. Good sized level pitches, just pick which one you want... Water to each pitch 16 amp Power Keep up the good work, the site is a credit to you. Chris & Carol
