Why stay here ...

We have just over 7 acres of land here at Windy Ridge of which roughly 3/4 of an acre is dedicated to our lovely gently sloping grassed campsite. There are Ladies and Gents toilets on site, we even have a small fishing lake to wander around or try your luck with a day's fishing. This is a very tranquil site where well behaved pets are welcome. Frequently seen are Rabbits, Pheasants, Deer, Wild Geese, Barn Owl, lots of wild Birds and our own pet call Ducks on the site there's also two Kingfishers on the Island in the lake.

Our site is close to the Louth canal, perfect for those that just want to be out of the way and chill with nature. There's plenty to do for the more active amongst us such as public footpaths and walking routes nearby and Bird watching at the RSPB Nature Reserve at Tetney Marshes, you can walk your dog, ride your bike or simply relax with a glass or two.

We're based at the very edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, on the outskirts of a small village called Tetney, just 5 miles from Cleethorpes with it's lovely sandy beaches, shopping and restaurants, we are only 10 miles from Louth which has a lovely little general market every Saturday (farmers markets held every 4th Wednesday and 2nd Friday of the month) and just 17 miles from Cadwell Park Race Track.

In Tetney village there is a local Spar supermarket with post office, Fish and Chip Shop and the local Pub, there is also a Pub at Tetney Lock which is also within walking distance. Lincoln Cathedral, Coningsby for the "Battle of Britain memorial flight", Donna Nook for the Seal colonies, Horncastle, East Kirkby for the Lancaster "Just Jane" are all within a short drive.

Please see our Website for more pictures and full booking terms and conditions.

Lovely site

Arrived on the weekend of Storm Colin but because the site was well sheltered we didn't have to worry . The owners were helpful and pleasent not intrusive but if we did need anything I'm sure they would have been of assistant. Within easy reach of local amenities, takeaways and the coast with the end of November been the ideal time to visit the seals at Donna Nook . Short walk round the lake which would be lovely in summer and the chickens and Guinea fowl keeping my husband and dog amused. Do try the Guinea fowl eggs when available. A peaceful relaxing site just make sure you have a torch for late night trips back to your caravan because there are no lights what so ever. This was our first stay at a CL site and if this one is anything to go by then we're in for some enjoyable ,relaxing ,peaceful stays. Will definitely visit again due to it been only an hour away.

What a fantastic CL site run by great people.

just returned from a 3 night stay at Windy Ridge, what a great place. we were greeted by Barbara on arrival who was very friendly and gave us some useful info on local places. The site is very well kept the grass kept fairly short with no annoying grass cuttings. The site is down a concrete lane so no annoying road noise. if you like walking then this is a great place to go, turn left out of the gate and keep walking for miles and not bump into anyone. Barbara and Luke keep chickens, Guinea Fowl ,and Quails so lots of lovely fresh eggs to be had, the Guinea fowl roam around the site which is nice to see. There is a lovely lake which has just been extended and dredged and once the grass has grown will be great to walk around . Although Barbara and Luke were obviously busy with the site and other things they always had plenty of time to chat which was nice, they truly are fantastic people with a fantastic site and we can't wait to go back. Peace and Charm

A great find!, very friendly hosts and feathered friends. site is almost flat so great for MoHo's and plenty of space around pitches. Owners have just undertaken a huge adjacent landscaping project on site and another lake, when grassed will be a wonderful walking and picnic area. Would definitely return. Good cycling and walking in area, lovely pub at Tetney Lock, good menu and fairly priced.

Excellent Bank Holiday weekend

Excellent CL with a great position.  Really quiet with no road noise but not far from anywhere. Barbara was extremely helpful advising of local interests. A lovely walk round the lake and plenty of birds to watch on the many feeders and Owls hooting at night. Would definitely return in the future. Garry & Celia

Blissful CL

A delightful, unspoilt CL well away from noise of traffic but still accessible to main roads. It would be hard to find a more perfect CL for watching nature. Very welcoming owners (Barbara and Luke) were supportive but not intrusive. Extremely spacious pitches and good water, waste and chemical toilet points, and a bonus of male/female toilet facilities before leaving on our long journey home. We will be back to 'Windy Ridge' when in the Cleethorpes area. Kath and Trevor
