Probably the best CL we have visited in over 40 years

Side-a-Wood CL
I can certainly agree with all recent reviews confirming that this is an excellent CL. It combines a lovely spacious well mown field behind the house, with water taps at every pitch, an immaculate toilet with fresh towels every day and a small electric water heater over the basin, and a well designed emptying point with even a sensor operated light over it. As well as all these features, we really appreciated the welcome by Hugh, coming to call on us shortly after we arrived, and a farewell call on the morning we left, when payment was simply made by cash. We cannot think of another CL we have visited in our many years of caravanning that has so much to offer. We already love this area of north Norfolk, both countryside and coast, and here we had very good access to quiet lanes for our cycle rides, to Little Walsingham, Burnham Market, and Holkham Hall. The B road on which the site is located is quiet yet gives easy access to Fakenham for shopping.

Another Warm Welcome

Side-a-Wood CL
I can’t speak highly enough of the quality of this CL. It was our 3rd visit and it will certainly not be our last . The owners ,Hughie and Fliss made us feel very welcome and were more than helpful. I might add the entertainment provided by the cock pheasants ,the Red Kite and the Brown Hares on the adjacent field just added to our holiday experience. Thanks again Hughie and Fliss.

Top Class CL

Side-a-Wood CL
We recently stayed at Side a Wood for a week. The site is level and immaculately maintained with water and drainage to each pitch. Essential supplies are available in the information room, paid for using an honesty box, along with information about the local area, There is a spotlessly clean toilet. on site. Hugh and Fliss were very helpful when we arrived and during the week, allowing us to pitch our caravan in a position of our choice.

Excellent CL

Side-a-Wood CL
Easy access off B road.  Flat level field that drains extremely well.  Spotlessly clean Toilet but no shower on site. Few essentials also available e.g. bread, milk, orange juice, ice cream. All very reasonable price and money to be left in honesty box. Owner always around busy working in his garden or pottering on the CL. Excellent phone signal on EE. Deposit paid on booking and balance made by bank transfer. Overlooking open countryside. Free wifi with code from ownerLove seat with table on each pitch. Well spaced out pitches

Fabulous

Side-a-Wood CL
The best welcome. Have been several times. Easy to find. Access good. Flat, beautifully maintained grass site. Electric and water to each site. Grey water can be drained directly into the hedge/field. Immaculate toilet and there is a well stocked fridge and freezer with essential provisions, using the honesty box to pay. Also a washing machine and tumble dryer available to use. Lovely views across fields behind. We spent evenings watching a barn owl hunting. There is an un-manned airfield nearby with occasional ospreys and hurcules flying in on exercises. We enjoyed watching them but could be a distraction if you don't like aircraft. Hugh and Fliss are obviously passionate about their CL and want you to have a good stay. We did. And we will be back.
